I decided to apply for this card seeing as I use amazon a lot, and I got this message. Mind you, I do have a Chase Slate card. Any thoughts?

Please do not re-submit your application

If your application is approved

You will receive a welcome email from Amazon containing your Cardmember Agreement and information on how to add your card as your default payment method on Amazon.com. We recommend that you review and retain the Cardmember Agreement for your records before making your first purchase.

You will still be eligible for the Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Card welcome offer. The email mentioned above will also contain instructions on how to use your welcome offer.

I received this exact response and then received the approval about an hour later via email. I had assumed it was a denial so I was glad it wasn't. Not sure what in my profile prompted it. It was my second card I ever apped for so I assumed that's what it was.

Wow guys that is awesome! Thank you so much! I guess I'll just be checking my email for the approval! May I ask what your SL's were? If that's too much info, I understand, and maybe it's because the card is new, they're getting bombarded? Idk, just a guess

My SL was $2000. I already had 4 other cards with them. I moved $8000 from my Freedom to make it a $10k card and the Freedom a $11.5k card.

No its not too much 😃 My SL was 500$ Basically I barely made it in but I'm new to credit besides a consigned auto loan so it was perfectly understandable. I'm sure if I had a longer history and/or another Chase product it would of been higher

In general the 30 day message with Chase means they are taking a closer look (most are approved, not all). On the other hand the 7-10 day message is usually a decline.

Well guys, no response in email form yet, so my guess is they're either still reciewing, I got denied or... they don't work on weekends?

Did you try the automated line yet to check on the status? You also could try the backdoor number to get to a LO...or you could just wait!

@Boribori, call 800-436-7927 and check the status.

I got the exact same message when I applied for mine and called the number and was told I was approved for $9,000 SL. The next morning I received an email saying I was approved, but it said my SL was $5,000.

I checked my account and the SL was $9,000, so don't trust the SL on the email you get.

Moral of your story, call the number I posted above if you want an immediate response.

From what I've read, the 30 day message just means they need to review your profile. It's not a good or bad thing. Apparently they have 2 other responses that mean approval or denial.

Post back with what you find out! I'm intrigued!

That's why I immediately thought it was a decline and got mad, I figured there is no way they would need to review my application.

I always get instantly approved, so I called and was informed the 30 day message isn't a bad thing.

You should call and keep us posted!
