I've never had a BOA account yet they deny me every time even now with scores 754-790 , no lates or baddies in any report. Am I stuck with cap one and Discover

Maybe there's something in the details of your profile in the past 2-5 years they don't like? Did you ever BK 7/13? Maybe too many accounts in the past couple of years?

View it as their loss. Sometimes things that happen could be a blessing in disguise. If they don't want you, then you shouldn't want them. There are more fish in the sea, so-to-speak. Have you tried the prequals for Citi and Chase?

I have Citi , can't app for chase 5/24 rule. Just for approved for venture and finally Barclay after a recon for 10000! So no more BOA apps

Well, you CAN app for Chase, just not any of the 5/24 cards. THere are still some GREAT cards that they offer with no AF, and no 5/24.... AARP is one of them (you do NOT have to be an AARP member, or any specific age to app)

AARP also has 12 month 0%, as well as 0% BT

OP, that sucks hopefully you can get in the door with them in the near future.

I've posted about this plenty of times, but ill say it again in here that I read on DoC that theyre tightening and being more strict with their standards on approval and also churning on cards.

BOA is in my opinion an underrated prime lender around here. Read countless times that people with solid profiles even tend to get rejected for some reason. So if you ever get in, consider yourself lucky!

I got in with the 99/500 secured card after banking with them for two decades. They finally sent me the pre-approved letter in the mail, so I jumped on it. I'm hoping it will lead to bigger things with them.

OP, I feel your pain. I've been denied by BOA 2 or 3 times in the last year, despite my profile warranting an approval (or so I believe).

You've got to give it some time. You've gotten a lot of new accounts in the last year and a half and BoA might think that you're credit seeking. I gave it a year, cut back considerably on apping and was approved this time last year for the Cash Rewards card; if fact BoA was my last approval. Come join us in the garden and let your profile age.

It's okay. BOA is inquiry-sensitive like Barclays. Let your new accounts age. They hate me too. Sent me a prequalified offer with a fixed APR only to be denied lol.

OP, i believe BoA is one of those banks that likes "precious history" to lend credit to individuals. i had my checking account with them for about 6 years and have their cash back card and they'd offer their other (not very rewarding credit cards) every so often. once i switched banks for my checking, they stopped sending our offers. sorry for the denials :-/
