Chase PC -- don't meet 5/24 qualifications

Does Chase allow PC from CFU to CSP? I am NOT within their 5/24 guidelines. Also, my scores may be a little too low for the CSP. Just curious... I use my cards for dining every day. Thanks!

Yes they do, but I believe it's a HP, you don't get the sign up bonus, and if your scores are below the minimum I wouldn't expect it to go through.

I would say about 670 FICO.

Also if your current FU limit is under 5k that may be an issue too because the minimum for CSP is 5k.

Thanks for the response. My highest limit it 10K with my BofA Trav Rew VS... but my CFU is only 1.5K. You're probably right. I will let it sit for a little. As a result of what I have in my wallet, the CFU gets very little usage despite its 0% interest for 15 months or whatever they gave me.

Yeah the CFU is best for purchases that are considered miscellaneous. Purchases that have no additional reward category and you can earn 1.5% Cashback on them.

For example: Holiday shopping at Target or Walmart (or in general there too).

You'll get an extra .5% Cashback compared to most cards.

I would definitely recommend letting your profile get stronger then in time apply for the CSP you'll get the $500 sign up bonus (or $625 towards travel) and can transfer some of your FU to it making it a higher limit. It'll be worth the wait.

Also, if you apply with a strong profile you'll get a lower APR (good benefit because Chase never does apr reductions), and likely a higher CL, because chase CLI's without a HP are very rare.

CSP requires a minimum of 5k CL on one card or a reallocated total from other cards of 5k or greater, in order to PC to it. Since your line is only at 1.5k, I do not believe you are eligible unless you have other personal Chase card accounts. I have PCed my FU to Freedom and there was no inquiry.

5/24 does not apply in the case of PCing. New accounts, yes.

SapphireMiner - When I said it may be a hard inquiry I was saying that because OP would need to be requesting at least another 3.5k in credit to get to the CSP, extending more credit is pretty much always a HP with Chase.

If that's the case, it's probably better if the OP kept working on raising his score and then applying for a CSP. At least then, he'll get the signup bonus for the CSP and could just keep the CFU since there's no AF for it.

NO HP is required for a PC assuming one has a 5k CL along with it is older than a year to avoid the CARD act.. PC are not a HP, just if you need a CLI to support said PC to clear up a few things
