Chase 30 Day Review Message....

Hi all, has anyone ever received the Chase "We need a little more time to review your information, we will send by mail in 30 days" message? I just applied for Chase Slate and that's the message that I got. It seems like a denial, just not an instant denial. I just applied for Discover and was told by the computer to call in, only to call in and be denied. I will have to garden for a long time, if this one doesn't get approved. I wonder if there's any hope with this message that Chase could approve. I am a 713 TU if anyone would like to know, with an A on payment history and an A in credit utilization....my only bad area's being credit mix (only one card), and my age of credit isn't much beyond 2 years. Just wondering if there's a chance that it will say approved. Does it really take them 30 days to decide?

I think a better way to tell is to call in to the Chase credit card status line (800)-432-3117. If the robo lady tells you a 30 days or 2 weeks message, it's likely an approval. If she gives you a 7-10 days message, it could be a denial, but it could also be just for verification purposes. If it is indeed a denial, I strongly encourage you to call recon line (888) 270-2127. My wife just got an IHG denial reversed through recon; very much worth the call. Hope all goes well! Be sure to update us!

Very often Chase just need to verify you're who you are, give them a call and find out.

Well, I did get the 30 day review message. And then yesterday as well I called the number to check the status and got the robo bot lady. She said I will hear the results in 30 days. Then today, I called the robo bot lady again and was told that it will be 7-10 days. Then, I called and actually spoke to a real person who told me that he doesn't have the Approval or Denial results yet, that it just says the application is still being processed and will take 7-10 days. He reassured me that for Chase, it is totally normal to take 7-10 days and can even take up to a month. However, 7-10 days in credit card history usually means denial in my experience, right? I am assuming that I got stuck with the 30 days message because I had a halfway decent chance & then got denied which explains the 7-10 days.

If it is a denial, will probably try to Recon even if unsuccessful. I know that there are many more factors that account for getting approved or denied, but my payment history and credit utilization is excellent. I have never missed a payment and always pay way over the minimum amount due + I have no balance. I am very responsibile, and even if without a high credit limit, I feel that I do deserve a chance with this company.

Hello. I was preapproved for a Chase Freedom Unlimited through Credit Karma and applied only to find out that I was going to have to wait 30 days also. Well I called the automated number today (800-436-7927) and it told me that I would be notified in 7-10 days. Well I pressed 0 to speak with a customer service representative and was then transferred to lending. Lending verified my address and sent me a text message to verify my phone number and I was approved. Just wanted to let you know. BTW I applied last night and called the customer service rep 12 hours later and they just needed that little bit of information. Not sure why when you called they couldn't help speed the process along. Just wanted to come on here and give you some hope.

I called Recon early as i didnt receive my letter yet and they told me that they needed me to verify information for them and fax it in (license, social security number) and then call in 5 days. I did fax the info in but the fac machines were giving me a really hard time and all i could think was like damnn, this is a lot of effort and time just to possibly be denied. :/

Sending in verification information is a good sign.

So i faxed my information in and i believe i did it almost a whole week and a half ago (posted the upper reply much later.), maybe more. The reps on the phone are still telling me that theres no record of my faxed in information but yet they tell me it should only take 5-9 days for them to receive the information. Should i keep waiting or fax everything in a 2nd time? I also double checked the fax number and i had faxed everything to the correct number.

After speaking with verification, i was advised to refax all of the information because i did not put the reference number on the documents that i was faxing and they think the docunents got lost. So i refaxed everything and now just waiting.

Update: i might be giving up here. They need proof of my home address (not my mailing address) besides my drivers license and i dont have it to give. They all gave auto and home bill examples. I dont live on my own anymore so i have no household bills i could use. My car was a gift and the insurance isn't under my own name. Tax papers are all under my mailing address. No idea what to do.

Do you have a cell phone bill or other bill that is mailed to your home address? Any official mail at all that maybe isn't a bill? I'm surprised your drivers license wasn't proof enough of your address. If there isn't any official mail to your home address, I would explain that and see how you can proceed.

I apped for chse freedom a few weeks ago and got a 30 day message. I had only 2 accts at the time, one is secured. Aaos was 2y8m. I called the automatic status check number 1 day later and I heard it stating my credit limit and APR and I know I was approved. Try calling its automation status check number to hear what it tells you. Good luck

Just wanted to respond applied for Chase Sapphire Preferred recieved 30 days notice, 6 days ago in the evening. Called robo number till Tuesday evening where it told me 7-10 days. I assumed based on messages it was a denial. Called in and it turned out to be verification, they asked me to read back a text message sent. Assign me a cl and approved me.

Congrats!

Reading the Chase approval threads 7-10 days are not automatic denials but likely are ID verifications.
