So happy today. My last baddie was removed from EX. It was there and nothing would take it off. Finally it is off and EX is 764!

So I was so happy I decided to app for Citi DC. Have no clue why but it was denied. Totally bummed. Had been waiting to app for that until my EX was clean. Have to wait for the letter - they would not tell me why.

So it was a huge high... and now I’m bummed. Oh well. That’s the Credit life I guess. Still... all in all.... good day.

Try the EO office for recon at 605-331-1698 between the hours of 9 and 4pm (not sure of time zone). Also saw this number from other recon threads: 866-606-2787

You said you last baddie came off EX. Is it still present on TU/EQ? Did Citi pull TU or EQ from your app? I'm thinking perhaps they didn't see your clean file? When I apped for the DC they double pulled me on EX and EQ. Did you get single or double pulled and on which bureau(s)?

Citi double pulled me last year for my CDP card also. They pulled EQ & EX. If your baddie is still on one of the other 2 bureaus they may have seen it--but with that high of an EX you shoud have still gotten an approval even if it was a low SL.

Agree Citi typically double pulls so if one CRA was froozen or had the baddie still could be reason for denial.. I had EQ frrooze once and they pulled EXP and was denied called in and they said they couldn't access EQ I mentioned that they pulled Exp already as was alerted although they said they had no record of it, unfrooze EQ and was approved when they were able to pull it. So either they want a double pull, baddie still exists on another CRA such as EQ/TU or your theory of inquiries or new accounts.

No... TU & EQ are both clean too. All 3 are now. Plus I only got an alert for EX. The other thought I had was there may be a FA on file since I made the dispute to get the last baddie off. Sometimes EX does that to me and I hate it. But I’ll wait and see.

Still a happy day. To go from 691 to 764 and a clean file is freaking amazing. I have been waiting so long since TU & EQ have been clean for 6-10 months now.

You mentioned earlier that you thought inquiries may have been your downfall. How many are we taking? Many have reported Citi being inquiry sensitive, so you may be on to something there.

Given the choiice, losing your last baddie +1000000 times greater then getting a DC card. I wouldnt be bummed, Id be flyin high

Call and recon? Certainly doens't hurt and they will probably tell you reason for denial.

I will definitely recon... just gonna wait for the letter. Part of me is thinking it is. Fraud alert. I disputed that last baddie. It came off but EX has put FA’s on my Report when disputing before. If I was a betting man I would say either INQs or a FA. I should get the letter this week or early next and will update when I do
