Best Buy starting limits?

I usually don't apply for store cards to get their rewards but I'll be buying a $3K TV soon and I see I can get 10% back in rewards. That will be $300.00 to spend on something else. I had a BB card about 12 years ago. I believe the limit was at least $7500. My scores are in the 740-748 range. Can I expect a decent SL if I apply?

I can't imagine what kind of TV cost's 3000 dollars....last one I bought on sale was 55" for 350 dollars.

I would be applying to take advantage of their 10% back in rewards. That will be close to $300.00. I might also use their 0% financing offer. I can just pay for it but I might use that.

It's a 75" Samsung 4K TV that would replace the 65" non-4K TV I have in my living room. 4K is like being there!

Plenty of TVs cost more than $3K. Depending on size and technology they are significantly better than the lower end tvs. Have you ever seen an LG OLED in 4K?

A year ago, I app'ed and got approved for 2500 with scores about 80 points lower than yours, so I would assume givng the limits of your other cards they would start you off with something decent. The card grows quick. I'm already at 12.5k. Hope this helps.

Or you could buy it online. Depending on the state, you won't pay sales tax. Use a 2% cash back card and you'll break even or come out ahead depending on sales tax in your area.

Sounds like really nice TV. You ever thought about a front projector? For movies and sports there's nothing like it. It changes your entire viewing experience. Can't wait to get mine set back up!

I just did this with my TV purchase, however i chose the visa version rather then the store only, because why not?

But, you cant get the 10% back AND the 0% financing offer. Its an EITHER/OR offer. You either take the 10%, or you take the 0% financing. Atleast that was the case for me. I obviously took the 10%, and now i have free best buy money to spend before it expires in october!

I've looked into some of the online retailers. I guess Samsung has a MAP policy (Minimum Advertised Pricing). They are all the same or within a few dollars of eachother. I could take a 90 minute ride to purchase the TV in NH. They isn't sales tax up there so that would save 6.5%. The problem with that is the box is huge. I definately won't fit in my car and probably wouldn't fit in a friend's SUV so I'll probably just buy it local and take advantage of the free delivery. I haven't looked into projectors much, I rather go with a regular TV like this.

I'll have to read the fine print on that card if I apply for one. The 10% back would be worth more than 0%. I don't have to finance the purchase.

I just got an email on my card that offered 15% in rewards PLUS the financing. But... it wa only on select Samsung TVs.

To answer your question.... I had a 755 Fico 8 and I got a $2k SL. I was dissapointed and would not have applied if I knew it would be that low. The TV I want is $4000. It’s not gonna help me much and it is a HP for a CLI I believe. I thought about closing but I will wait a year and see if I get an auto CLI or can get a SP CLI and if not.... bye.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but yes CBNA cards are almost exclusively HP for CLIs and it's very rare to hear about auto-CLIs on those accounts. Wife's was at $2000 since 1996 (it's been through a few lenders before winding up as a Citi card) - last year she finally asked for a CLI after 20 years and instantly got the $10k she asked for. Scores were about 775 at the time with util in the mid/upper 20s.

I got this same Tv at BestBuy two months ago. I kept getting denied for the card including a month before i purchased this. But went in the store selected the TV and sales guy put my app through. He asked for $3000 and I got approved for the 3000 with 0 interest.
