Is it possible to have Amazon store Card and Amazon Chase Credit Card?

I have the Amazon Prime Store Card and I love it. But I’m trying to back in with Chase and I’m pass the 5/24 rule just found with Chase Marriot denial. I know the Amazon card does not fall under that rule and I wanted to know if I would get approved for the Chase card would it cancel out the store card from synchrony?

You can have and use both with no issues.

Go for it! I use the Chase Card for the 5% cash back and the Store Card if I'm making a large purchase I don't want to pay off in a month.

Yes its possible. Chase's card is really nice looking .i decided to AA Chase so i cancelled mine but im keeping my card as a fancy keepsake

Two separate cards issued by two separate banks. You can have both

I have the Prime versions of both cards. And the Amazon Prime Chase card is a nice METAL card (not sure if the regular Amazon card is metal or not.) As others have stated, two totally different companies and different uses.

I have both the Prime Store Card ($8k CL Sync backed) and the Chase Amazon Visa (5k CL) - use them both on a regular basis. They both offer 5% back, the store card offers 0% extended financing options for larger purchases (either or 5% or 0% financing).

Just a side note, yesterday I made a small order on Amazon for just under $25, my default is the cash Visa and the order was 100% paid for with available Chase "points" aka 5% cash back and the Amazon prompt "suggested" I use points, when I attempted to use the points the check out message was this purchase is not eligible for the credit/points. I went ahead and checked out using the Chase Visa default. THEN I went to the Chase portal and used "cash back as statement credit" and zero'd out the $24.96 charge.

Having both cards (Chase and Prime) continue to work out well for me

Thanks for all the replies. I got denied for the chase card. Chase just isn’t feeling my profile right now.

Sorry to hear that but your scores are too low for the card and your utilization is borderline high. The denial for Marriott should have stopped you from applying regardless Chase Amazon not being part of the 5/24. TBH, I prefer using the store card simply because of the 0% interest for 6 months on purchases over 100 over the Chase one. Amazon store card also offer the 5% CB. The Amazon card is a no annual fee VS metal card, but its also the ugliest metal card I've seen so far lol.

You need to call the BD# and recon that. Call back a few times if needed. Always recon a denial....you never know what might happen from that call

Soooo do all Chase Co-branded cards not follow the 5/24 rule? Or am I totally miss reading this? I have way to many inquires and new accounts to try now but it would be nice to know I dont have to wait 24 months! ===> Just cant quite find the garden :-(

If you want to improve your chances with Chase, especially for any products that don't fall under 5/24, then abstain from applying for other CCs. It may take some discipline, but it can be done. While anything is subject to change, Amazon, IHG, AARP, Hyatt, Disney, British Airways and Ritz-Carlton are some of the Chase cards that are not currently subject to 5/24. That being said, if your profile has several newly opened accounts or inquiries, then your chances for approval diminish.

You can join other fellow gardeners to help you achieve this goal over time.

@FinStar quite a few too many newly opened accounts and inquiries -however I am in the garden now.
