LOC Denied

I finally found out that my application for NFCU LOC was denied. I knew ahead of time this would most likely be the result. I wish I hadn't even done it now. I lost two HP's for it. I thought they only pulled one. Not disappointed about not getting the LOC as much as I am in the 4 HP's with them, two for nothing.

Yeah, that sucks. Wonder why it took 2 HPs?

I'm sorry but you have the awesome CC with a awesome limit....maybe after 6-12 months with the CashRewards you can reapply. That does suck about the 2 HPs for the LOC

I'm just mad at myself for doing it. I really didn't want it. Just thought it would look good. I'm pretty anal (OCD, lol) about HP's.

I'm surprised by the 2 HP's... I do was denied the first time I applied... I received a counter approval 2 months later when I applied again and less than 2 months after that received full CLI to the $15k!

apply for it again after your first CLI on your credit card.

Well, now I'm nervous. When I login this is what I get. "We are unable to process your request. For assistance, please call us toll-free at 1-888-868-8123. For calls from within the Washington DC area, or outside the US, please call 703-255-8699."

What could that be about? I left a message with my advisor at Navy Federal, but haven't heard from him yet.

MOMTIMES7-I know what you mean about being anal about HPs. Just over the weekend I had to take a HP for Verizon wireless for cell phone service. It took me weeks to figure out if I wanted to waste a hard pull just on cell service or go prepaid. We went without a cell phone the whole time lol. I finally just did it when I seen best buy was giving $150 best buy giftcard for new lines of service for Verizon. Ended hoop ending 2 lines and got $300 giftcard but it makes me mad that I had to waste a HP

Someone else was just denied the LOC with Navy after he faxed his paperwork over. He called to recon, and was approved Maybe try to recon?

Me and my wife were denied when we applied for 15k. So I asked to recon and was told I had to reapply with a lower amount. Now we are both approved for 500.00 on NavChek. I figure by listening to Creditaddict that I can get a increase in 3-6mo and slowly ease up to 15k. Might could try our route..

I have no clue what they could mean (message when logging in) maybe it's just a glitch in their system or your browser. Have you tried a different browser? Maybe if ur advisor doesn't get back to you quick enough, then call the regular Cus Sevice number. At least if it is a glitch the regular customer service number can tell you so you don't keep worrying until your advisor gets back to you.

Found out. Yesterday, while we had soccer tournaments and just HAPPENED to be in the area where my ONLY NFCU is located, I went to the ATM there to deposit in my Everyday Checking. The ATM was beeping like crazy like it was a bomb, LOL, and when I approached it there was a message for whoever was there previously to take their cash because the machine didn't "accept" all their bills. Ahem. I tried to clear it so I could proceed and it wouldn't. So I went to another partner ATM and put in the WRONG flippin pin number because I typed to fast and tried to correct it. I just gave up. I triggered a security alert.

That sounds like it was a good deal. Just watch out for Verizon. They can be sneaky. We switched a year ago over to Net10 because it's sooooo much cheaper for us. We had a HUGE monthly cell phone bill before.

That's great that you got it figured out. We're they able to release the security freeze and if so was it quick. Just asking in case it were to happen to me anytime in the future.
Oh no that scares me about Verizon now. This is our first time with Verizon, we use to have sprint but that was so awful. We didn't even get service in our own house and we were paying a lot! When I went yesterday I was thinking about Verizon or AT&T but went with Verizon because of the gift cards and was told they had better coverage. I have 2 weeks to return or stop service and I keep going back and forth to keep Verizon or switch to AT&T (we found them to be $20 cheaper then Verizon) or a prepaid service. I feel like I already took the HP so I definitely don't want another by switching to AT&T so my only idea Would be canceling the service and going prepaid but then it's a HP wasted. I hate how crazy I have gotten over HPs and my credit. I guess it a good thing but it can also be a bad thing. Like I would love a target card because there is one 1 minute down the street from us and we go there for everything.....diapers, formula, food,etc and I am big on saving as much as I can so that 5% sounds great to me but I don't want another HP. Instead of applying for Walmart in October I should of went with Target but I wanted Walmart because of my free score. I guess you can't have your cake and eat it to (I never understood that saying lol) I know target offers a debit card but I just get scared linking my checking account to stuff. That's like our lifeline and if anything happened and we couldn't access our money it would be bad. Glad you got it figured out!! No more worrying.

Also when I read about another member reconning their LOC they just called the regular customer service number and the rep put in another application to have it reconsidered. He had to send in all the paperwork again but this time it was approved and for the whole amount. So he went from being denied to getting approved for the full 15K just in case this helps you out.
