Just apply for any other Chase card that isn't subject to 5/24, like the Disney Visa stated above. There's even a referral link going around right now where you can get a $200 statement credit on the Disney Visa after $500 of spend. Then just move the limit from the Disney Visa to the Amazon card. If you do it right (waiting 31 days after a $0 statement with no purchase activity posts), you can even move all the limit. Otherwise Chase will make you leave $500 on the card.

Why not just apply for a Disney Visa... Usually has a better SL than Amazon, and then transfer the CL to Amazon

And how soon can you transfer limits from one card to another? I might have to do something like this later down the road even though I would hate to take a HP but I don't see Chase giving me CLI if I asked and even then that's most likely a HP anyway.

I believe you can reallocate limits as soon as you're approved, by speaking to one of Chase's credit analysts. I've never tried that quickly, but I have read other forum posts where people have applied for Chase cards and immediately after being approved have reallocated limits.

2. You can also send them a secure message through your account portal, asking them to reallocate or combine limits. This is what I did and it was done in less than two hours, with no back and forth at all.

3. Chase CLI's haven't been shown to be overly generous when customer-initiated, and yes it will be a HP. Forum members have reported greater success with opening a new account and reallocating/combining accounts.
