Amex pre-approved???

I currently have an AMEX delta gold with a 2000 limit. Recently paid down 14000 worth of credit card debt and are waiting for my scores to update. Checked to see what cards Amex has recommended for me and I see that I am now pre-approved for every single card, but all except one have a range of apr’s. The only one that doesn’t is the Mercedes Amex and apparently they are ending that card January 2019 and replacing it with something else unknown at that time. Apr on that card is 16.49%. Are odds better if it’s preapproved with set apr or with a range of apr’s.

Preapproval with Amex is indeed a little bit different since they say the preapproval language without giving a fixed APR. I am also preapproved for every single card as well and almost all credit cards give a range APR. Mercedes is a fixed APR because that's the only one available for the card; I used to have Gold Delta preapproval showing fixed APR (and was listing under my offers) but now it's a range APR as well.

I would say the Mercedes odd is about the same as if you apply for other cards, since the public offer gives that APR only.

How big is the range for the APRs? If we’re talking 2 or 3 points, then I say it’s a good chance. If it’s wide range, then it is more tricky.

I was also preapproved for every single Amex card all showing ranges except the Mercedes. Apped and approved for 2 of them with only sp on both.
