Discover cli HP?

Tried requesting a cli yesterday and today and same page(that samsung won't let me screencap :\ ), somewhere along the lines -we need to review your phone number so that we can call you and also your credit history. No HP or SP reference so I canceled each time. Chatted online with a rep and, if I'm understanding correctly, that would be a HP

The account was opened beginning of January and My 3rd statement cut last Thurday. Discover it is my lowest limit card with just $1k and I spend around $1.5k on it/month. My EQ went up ~40 points and TU ~30 since the account was open. No negatives, 2 other CCs, low age-1 yr oldest acct. I wonder if it would be worth it but I somehow doubt they would give me a reasonable increase for the HP Why won't you love me, Disco? I knew I should've gotten the pink card!

I'm not sure , there was a recent poster who actually did get a sizable increase via hp. Not enough people try this method so it may be worth a shot.

When I called in after an auto CLI ot 200, I wanted to do a HP because my TU score was 679 as opposed to the 655 they were showing... the CS rep said they dont fo that a new account (7 months old)... she wasnt very helpful so I just let it go for another 30 days...

I opened my card last June with a $5.5k limit. CLI to $6k and then $7.5k in December. Finally got another $500 last Friday and called in for the double dip. They offered $500 right out of the gate and I said I needed more for a large 'purchase.' I authorized the HP on TU because my TU never gets any love. They gave me another $5.5k, so I got a CLI of $6k total on Friday taking me to $13.5k.

I'd wait 60-90 days before requesting. It is still a fairly new account. I opened my Discover account on 10/2016 with a $7.5k SL and it was my first CC ever. They wouldn't give me any CLI at first until I was 5 months in. I used it heavy during the first year. Currently I'm at $24k in just 18 months. All CLI were SP. Just need to be patient. Also got an APR reduction to 12.74%.

As a result of reading this thread I decided to call Discover for the "double dip." I had received a $500 CLI earlier today. I called in and they wouldn't offer me more without agreeing to a HP. I agreed and after being on hold for a minute or two they increased my limit another $5k. I went from $12k to $12.5K then to $17.5k today. I hate HPs. I have enough of them, but a $5k bump isn't bad. I thought I read somewhere that follow on CLIs at 90 days are more generous and a SP. I will find out. Fingers cross.

I thought the HP was worth it for an additional $5k, congrats, your blows mine up.

Thanks for the data points, guys. I've decided it's not worth the HP. I would much rather apply for a new acct than (hopefully)get <$5k increase on a card I won't use very much; and since they don't seem to really trust/like me I would be at the lower end of that...I'll just get my groceries for the rest of the quarter and probably SD it since the next 2 cat are not something in which I put a lot of money. Who knows, maybe that would trigger an auto cli...
I've been in the garden for almost 4 months and I think it's time I plant me some potatoes and wait to be rescued. Discover is definitely not my ship

Ancedotal data but iv seen things like this happen before... You call or chat discover... and they are like... naw.... and then a few days later... voila you get an auto-cli..... Also you said it was your third statement... sometimes the CLI happens the week or so *after* the statement generates for some odd reason... and usually online appears before you get the email..

Congratulations.... You might be able to dip, since it was an auto-cli .....
