The only reason that I keep Blispay open is as an emergency situation 0% for 6 months line. Say I lose my job tomorrow and my income drops to $0, I know that I can push some essential purchases through Blispay via Plastiq for example (such as mortgage payment, utilities, etc) and float them for 6 months without interest while I'm attempting to secure a new income. The chances of that happening though are probably about 1%, so that's a 99% chance that Blispay continues to reside in the SD. It is good to know I have a 6 month interest free line though if I need it I suppose.

I just checked my CS today and its in the 700's, I applied for way too many credit cards, used to be like 735... but whatever, wanted to know should I wait for my score to increase? I waited 6 months already. Is Blispay sensitive when it comes to inqueries? And do they check for income proof?

When I applied two years ago. They weren't sensitive to inqs or new accounts. I believe my EX was 740ish.
They didn't have a place to put income back then.
They based SLs off EX score back then as well.

I have a love/hate relationship with Blispay...

Customer service... almost nonexistant...

CLIs... nope none of those either

2% cashback AND 6 mo 0% .... it works and its hassle-free.

Part of me is tempted to wait a bit... close. and try to reopen the Blis card....

its a partially hidden tradeline but even having it visibile on one CRA can be a hit to your scores....

-J

If that's the case, just to be safe and have the highest limit cause it seems like its a once in a lifetime. Have to make sure that debt to income is 0, if our score went down to due new accounts, have it go back up since its a temporary hit. I would say 730+ would be good to get a good SL.

740/750ish on average received $7500 SLs. Some of those closer to 800 or higher received $10k to $12k SLs.

I'm not sure they still approve this way or not.

My Blispay has been in the SD for nearly 2 years, almost the entire time I've had it, simply because I'm not happy with the SL and they've done nothing to address that issue in 2 years... not just for me, but for all Blispay cardholders. My Citi DC limit is > 3X that of Blispay and I got the DC a year after Blispay. It is what it is. Also, the 6 month financing sounded good when I applied, but it's really not relevant to me as I'm a strict Transactor and by definition never carry balances. I've never used the 6 month financing in 2 years. Not once.

I understand, if you have like $500 as SL, can't really do much there, but if a few thousands, some more room to work with but I only carry balances if I know that its 0% interest.
