Chase App In Progress + A Dilemna....

So on Sunday I was offiicial under 5/24 for the first time since in 5 years since starting my rebuild and app-ed for a 5/24 Chase card--Chase INK Unlimited to be exact--2 HPs on EX and EQ were alreay done and it's IN PROGRESS. But I also had 2 AMEX PRG offers to choose from. So I'm going with the 50k MR pt/$2k 3 month spend offer-and wanted the card in hand (PRG) by Aug 30th to pay my real estate tax bill due by then and meet the $2k spend. Should I app now before my INK app is finished? Because then I'll officially be 5/24 again if PRG is approved--and the INK app could go the rest of the month from what I've seen here on the forums. And I already know the new PRG wouldn't be seen by Chase unless for some reason they'd have to pull another CR again.

If it's possible to wait and get an official approval/denial, then I would wait it out. If not, then since the app is already in progress and they have already pulled whichever CR is needed, then you should be okay.

Yes--CR pulls on EX and EQ were done that same day. My only concern is if INK is denied for whatever reason and I try to recon-they may want to pull another CR. But even then the PRG might not have reported yet--and I most likely wouldn't let them pull another report anyway.

Being it most likely won't be seen. And Amex reports new accounts 2 months out on average. I would pull the trigger on the PRG.

I agree with @Gmood1. Fairly similar to a strategy I followed when one of my other applications was "in-flight" and decided to pull the trigger on a good SUB for the PRG.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Got the PRG with the 50k SUB. Kinda having a funny feeling about that INK app anyway. But we'll see. Going to get SPG Biz late October-but meeting that $5K spend SUB. for the 100k points is going to be murder!

Heck--if PRG still hasn't reported by the time INK is approved/denied I might try to replace my low limit/high interest bucketed Freedom with FU as well!
