Chase Southwest Card....dreaded 7-10 days review

Well, I had been on a great streak rebuilding my credit...now I have 5 all in good standing and I just tried for the one I really wanted and I got the dreaded "needs further review". I figure I'm pretty cooked. Rejection is such a bummer. Anybody else have a miracle happen when they got this message?

Yep call App/Recon # in the sticky thread.. The sooner you call the better in my opinion on any questionable approval or denial.. Be ready to recon away.

Meh, got denied. They pulled EQ which is my absolute worst report. Oh well.

Ya weird they have been pulling EQ lately.. Typically either EX or TU or combo, but not EQ.... I HATE EQ.. Sorry to hear.. Eq is 40ish points lower then my TU.. Screwed me on my Ritz, but the price I pay for messing up earlier in life and EQ being a #@%%#$$@# bureau to deal with

They pulled EQ for me for SWA Premier back in Sep and pulled EQ as well for Ritz (two days ago). In the past, they've also pulled EX (for MileagePlus Explorer) and TU for CSP in 2012.

I thought about it, but they probably have some record that I already called. Also, found out they pulled EX as well.

Back to EQ, why are they so much lower than the others. My TU is 671....EX is 663 EQ? 628! Ugh

ha..ok...hey, i'm new to this...so i figured if they said no once, they'll definitely say no twice. I'll try tomorrow. Assuming they are closed today

I was told no twice for my Ritz Carlton card. They finally saw the error of their ways on the third try and not once did anyone say anything about already being told no. Good luck.

Called just now...same result I mean, i supposed i understand. I have some medical collections (5 years old)....the one I don't understand tho is "too many new accounts"...all in excellent standing. I'll try again in 6 months perhaps.

Med collections should have no impact on approval if they are >5 years old imo... Maybe the new accounts? Med collections, most lenders will overllook

Although that EQ is pretty low.

My scores are the opposite.

My TU score is lower than the rest because ALL my creditors pull TU exclusively except for CapOne which pulled all 3. At any rate, my accounts were all opened in 2013 (last new CC Dec 2013) and my TU score is being weighted down by the INQ's... it has risen 4 and 5 points the last 2 months... presumably due to the INQs aging over 1 year.

I know why EX is lower... it's the only CRA that doesn't delete payment history on IIB accounts.

I really wonder if CRA pulling is a regional thing... I live in WA now and they all pull TU. A few years back when I lived on the east coast all my creditors pulled EQ.

Yes it is regional overall, with the exception of AMEX always pulling EX and mainly Discover pulling EQ for the most part.. Although when I got my freedom by the prequalify site it wa a TU only pull (maybe because that is what the pre-qual site SP's from?, dunno), but when did the ritz it was a EQ pull... So they mix it up obviously.. Obviously some lenders lean towards one bureau.
