Started wondering why I was getting multiple INQ alerts from the credit monitoring folks, I assumed they were duplicates but then tooked under the hood.

!@#$ Quantity 3 HPs from PenFed for a single app !@#@$ (screenshot below)

That's nearly 50% of my EQ HPs for the last 24months!!! All within a few days of each other, all for the singe (ONE) app.

**Curious if others have experienced the same?, curious if others have wisdom on best way to attempt to get a couple of these removed. I know it's petty, but I work hard to avoid HPs and sure didn't see this coming.

I had/have a security freeze on all three of my bureau files when I applied for PenFed membership. I applied for a savings share account only. My account is severely limited however and I did not receive any pulls hard or soft.

That is really strange as PF is known to reuse HP's for multiple apps etc..

I would call them- perhaps 'twas a computer glitch..

I just don't see them doing that intentionally.. Maybe they can remove 2 or recode them as SP's.

Did that application go into review?... They pulled my credit twice for my promise card and that application was in review ... I'm guessing the automated service pulls your credit and then different loan officers pull fresh reports to judge whether you should be approved or not .... Definitely not how it should be though.....
I got lucky and they reused my old hard pull for my 2nd card because it was within 90 days ..(Platinum Rewards)

Based on the snapshot you posted, it appears the inquiries are staggered based on specific actions PenFed did, such as membership and any other products (inclusive of the Pathfinder CC).

Was there an issue with them retrieving any data from your CRs? Did you also get a checking product with OLOC?

My suggestion is to contact them, but also confirm that your actual reports (not your monitoring providers) reflect the triple inquiries to see whether PenFed can recode the other 2.

They double pulled my fiancé when she applied for a penfed membership and auto loan on the same day. Both EQ pulls within 10 minutes of each other on the same day.

She’s in the process of getting it taken care of. They requested that she send them a copy of her full credit report and they would take care of it as it was only showing they did 1 pull on their end.

@shadowfactor ....I sent them a note and they've requested the same of me. (asked me to send copy of actual report) I'll likely to it, it'd be nice to have 2HPs removed but I'm not making it a top priority this Friday afternoon, ...it's on my chore list.

I got double pulled for a PL app recently , they wont remove , not a fan of them at all.

PenFed has been known in the past to pull more than once. I know there are a lot of folks who had experienced the report being good for 90 days but that isn't always the case. I've had PenFed pull twice in the same day before. Some get luck and some of us don't. These days I just expect and HP regardless of what I'm doing with credit...I'm just happy when I don't get one.
