Ive always stopped apping once I hit 640-650 as I didn’t want the residual point dips to bring me too low.

As for the reason you were declined, what’s your aggregate and individual utilization’s, any negatives? One could simply say your scores were too low

I’m not sure how seeking new credit may have affected your CLI, but I have seen that as a “things affecting your score” on a CMS.

Op, don't lose your confidence. Just keep pushing to make your profile stronger by tackling things that you know can raise your score. Also, wait on the denial letter and see what reasons are given. Once you have that, you can put focus into handling those items as well. It will come for you in due time.

It sounds funny but one of the biggest thing you can do for yourself during a "rebuild" is to not do anything. The first year is testing because you want more but you can't get more. 6-12 months of using what you got will do wonders... there's many here that can attest to this.
