Nothing is static per se.

We can speculate so many different theories, but the underlying piece would be any changes to your profile and whenever the last "captured" SP pegged to any available offers.

Since any pre-qualified offers can change at any time, all you can do is check periodically. This would be no different for mailers that have APR pricing fluctuations even during different weeks. For example, even though I already have different versions of the AAdvantage CC, Citi sent me around ~8 in the past month, all of them had different set APRs.

I think I went wrong in a couple places with how I thought the process might (and I realize we don't know for sure) work. I thought once you met a certain "minimum threshold" in their pre-qualify algorithm, and as long as you stayed at or above that threshold, you'd see offers; however, that certainly doesn't seem to be the case, at least in my specific example. And I thought each time you checked it would SP you, instead of capturing your profile and using that SP for a specific amount of time. But your explanation makes complete sense, too.

Thanks!

Citi Pre-Qualify page question/oddity.

So I checked at the beginning of this month to see if I pre-qualified for any Citi cards for some apps next year and it showed a solid APR (no range) for the Premier, DC, and Simplicity (was hoping to see the AA card). Now, after seeing a bump in my scores (+10pts today from the low 730s to the 740s across all 3 Fico 8s, no other changes or INQs since) I was curious to see if it changed any of my offers so I looked again today and, low and behold, all the offers are now ranges and no solid APRs. Any ideas/theories as to why or what might have happened?
