Okay, so i been working on my credit for some time now. i had a fall back in 2012 where i lost my job and missed a few payments. what i was left with was the following:

Capital one: limit $3,750.00 Bal $500.00 (increased 5 months ago from 750 to 3750)

Discover IT: Limit $1,250.00 Bal $100.00

Chase Freedom: Limit $1,000.00 Bal $900.00 (closed)

BOA power rewards: Limit $1,500.00 Bal: 700.00 (closed)

Care Credit: limit $1,000.00 Bal: $0

My current credit score is the following:

TU: 705

EX: 640

EQ: 547

I was thinking that with a new card with the 0% APR i would be able to transfer the balance from my closed accounts and just pay that card. i was looking into maybe Barclay (any), Chase freedom or sapphire (I really like chase but having a closed card from them i don't know if i'm black listed), or open to suggestions.

If those are your current balances, definitely pay them down before applying. Also, why is EQ so much lower? Have you pulled all three reports lately and make sure everything's correct? I would hold off on Chase for now as you never know who they will pull (they pulled EQ for me).

Yeah, obviously with that TU score, Barclays would be your best bet for sure. But just to warn you, Barclays isn't always a single TU pull either. I was double pulled (TU and EX) when I got my Sallie Mae card (I didn't really mind -- the card itself is worth a sextuple pull, but it was surprising).

UPDATE: So i decided to give it a chance and go for it. i applied for the Barclay's rewards credit card today.

Happy to say i got approved (after recon) for a CL of 1,000.00

First i applied online and it said that they coulden't give me a decision right away that I would have to wait 10 days. As soon as i saw that i went to the "My application Status" and it said straight out decided. When I called the Recon/Credit analyst person he said that the system is set up to automatically decline because i had a previous application for Barclay's back in 5/2014. that the system turned me down even before pulling my credit. Then he said if i wanted he can hard pull my TU to see if he can approve me. He ended up pulling both TU and EX and approved me for 1,000.00. So overall I'm happy i got approved, it's going to give me a chance to have another fresh account reporting positively on my file.

and PS- I almost had a heart attack when he said he wanted to also pull EX because i understood EQ and that's my lowest FICO score at 547. lol i need to somehow get that fixed.
