I say might as well recon. You already used a hard pull. Seems like an odd reason for denial. I would think 110K is plenty of income for that limit. How many lines of credit do you have? What is your total limit on all cards?

Hi, thanks for the help. I have about 17 cards with about 60k available. I was under the impression that credit available was a good thing. I'll call the number tomorrow and try to recon. I'll let you know how it goes.

Citi can take a very long time to build limits. A few years ago I took my one and only hard pull in a CLI attempt on a $3k Thank You Preferred card (which was instantly denied). Reconsideration was difficult. I contacted them through Facebook and as friendly as that group was, they stood behind the computer denial. It's grown marginally to $5500 limit today, but it's coming up on a 5 year old account and is quite a bit less than my other cards.

Yea, I'll just stick with it for now. Just sucks about getting a hard pull.

I have another card with them from last October, the diamond preferred, also weak in in CL (3k or so).

But! I think I know what's going on here. Last year my wife got a simplicity card. My wife stays at home to raise our kids (no income), yet citi gives her liberal CLIs with no HPs on her card. She just happened to make me a AU on this card. So I bet you, they are factoring in some type of union she she reports "housewife" on her apps. Drat.
