What triggers green check mark for Chase?

I’m above 5/24 but have never had a Chase card. Opened up a Chase checking account in Feb specifically so I could get the green check mark and bypass 5/24. I have a portion of my paycheck going direct deposit into the Chase checking... does anyone have any idea/guess what Chase is looking for that would trigger the green check mark? Is it a certain amount of debit card spending or money coming into the Chase account?

I doubt anyone knows; and even if they did know they would not be allowed to discuss it.

Personally, I opened a Chase Total Checking account on 10/5/17 and subsequently set up a portion of my income to be deposited into the account. On 12/28/17 I checked Chase's Pre-qualified website and received pre-approvals for the Freedom and Slate cards. I went to a nearby branch and spoke with a personal banker, who looked up my info in his system and it also came back with "in-branch pre-approvals" for the same cards. So I applied for the Freedom card and was immediately approved. At the time I was exactly at 5/24 and it is the only time I've gotten pre-approvals through the website. In my case it took 84 days from opening the account to get a pre-approval.

My suggestion would be to go to a branch and ask the personal banker if you have any pre-approvals. "In branch pre-approvals" bypass the 5/24 restriction and appear to carry more weight than green/black check mark pre-approvals. There are several data points where green check mark pre-approvals were denied due to 5/24 but I don't ever recall hearing that a pre-approval received while physically present in a branch location was denied.

Like others have said you should go to a branch and ask if you have any pre approved offers

I signed up for chase credit journey without any prior relationship and a few months later I had prequalified offers and was instantly approved. I was way over 5/24 unless store cards don’t count.

Thank you all! I have gone into the branch twice before and was told that I had no prequalified offers. The last time I checked was about a month and half ago so
I guess I ought to try again.

I did not get a green check or get an offer after prequal, so I cold app an account review message and got a call back in 6 days to very a few things and was approved for CSP. I am not sure if chase even knows...lol

[Green Checkmark] Selected For You

....when I click to read more, ...the APR says:

Seems they only want SS# and primary phone

Is this pretty solid for a Chase Freedom with only soft-pull?

17.24% is the lowest interest rate on file for that card. It's better than a high number (which can go up to 25.99%).

I not sure if it will be a soft pull if you do apply. Sure they may do a soft pull to check your report but when you apply it can trigger a hard pull.

That's a solid offer from Chase. If you apply they will usually pull TransUnion and Experian to verify that nothing has radically changed on your credit since the offer was made.

does anyone have an image of where one sees the green checkmark? I am now seeing "offers" in my account log in screen {literally just a few moments ago} (just opened an account online on 4/26)

It’s a mystery .....I don’t bank with chase at all and opened my freedom card 8 months ago and just the other day they threw a pre approval for the Chase Sapphire Preferred into my offers tab in my account

I’m currently like 9/24 and was approved for the card.....

I only see them on my PC. Only on my existing Freedom account page. One is right below where the button is to Pay Card, right above the transaction detail list. The other is on the left of the screen at the bottom of the frame. One is for a Slate, and one is for a CSR. They've been there for over a month. I'm at 5/24. When I click them and go to the details, both show a fixed APR. As mentioned, I have a Freedom card as well as checking and savings accounts.
