812 fico and denied!!

went for the lowes love button today and nothing!! heres the denial score they sent me, AAOA 6.8 and 17 year history, 11 year old oldest account.

Well as we always state there's more that goes into underwriting an application for anything than just one's FICO.

OP, what's the current CL on your Lowe's CC? If it's at or >$10K, Credit Solutions would be the best route for the CLI request/review.

I once got turned down by Lake Michigan Credit Union for a credit card, when the score they'd pulled was my TU FICO 9, sitting at 827 or 829.

Great score. In my humble opinion , scores really are meaningless. Lenders look at so much more than just a number and it can be disheartening for sure. It could be just that you arent elible for an increase right now. Not sure how much longer i want to play this game🤔

Having a good score doesn't mean you're entitled to a CLI.

There used to be a 4mo/4tatement timing with them in the past. I haven't paid attn to them in awhile though. If you have a need or real desire to get them up from wherever they're at then give them a call at 877-379-8175 and you will have more luck than the online form. The max before they start asking for POI is 35K.

Its at 17000, opened 2014 had to recon the SL from 5k to 17k its been at a 0 balance for 4 months now.

1 new car loan from lincoln finance and 1 chase FU, thats it... last used the lowes card last year for cabinets and paid off at the end of the 0% it hasent been used in 2-3 months im guessing

Wow, that's pretty crazy to see. But we already knew that FICO score wasn't the only factor deciding I suppose. What's your current CL for the Lowe's card?

It just seems so contradictory for the report to talk about how bad CFAs are for one's credit profile, even stating that these types of loans are for persons with less than perfect credit. Obviously, your scores prove you're not this type of person. This doesn't even make sense. SMH

So, I have to ask -- how many CFAs do you have on your report? I'm just trying to figure out if Lowes just picked a silly reason out of the sky.

I don't think Lowe's picked the "too many CFAs" reason. That's just the FICO algorithm saying the CFAs affected his score. Meaning, his score would be higher if he didn't have "too many CFAs."

Got to ask the obvious question was your TU unfroozen? If not then no soup for you although it is a SP CLI TU must be unfroozen. Possibly the reason?

That's the only way I got my Lowes up to 30K
