Exactly. I know others have not thought Amex buckets, but I certainly proof they do. I really felt these cards would never grow, hence I decided to close and move on.

Hey guys, just wanted to know which banks has rarely or never gave you a CLI. For me, I got my BoA card for 6 years and I remember my SL was $1K, and I did a CL once in my life cause I heard that it helps with the scores, it went to $2K and ever since then I never checked it but now have $4K.

I noticed that US Bank has been giving me a lot of CLI and also Discover too.

Chase, not so much but they do give really high limits to start off with and Amex as well, where you can combine and whatnot.

So far, for me Citi has gave me no love for a year of use on the Simplicity. I've never really liked Citi anyways lol. But, whatever I'ma just keep the card. Maybe, one day I could use the Citi events stuff they have.

The lender people on this forum go on the most about being stingy is definitely Capital One.

I personally would have to say that SSFCU is the stingiest one I have. They never auto CLI and it’s an HP for a requested one. My card has been $5K since I got in 3/2018 and will stay there.

Capital One has been good to me, Disco has been good to me, NFCU has been good to me, BBVA and DCU it’s too early to tell, Synchrony has been good to me. And even AMEX has already given me a 3X CLI and I got the card last week.

In my experience with creditors I have a few that come to mind, of course others have had much success, me not so much

AMEX - had 2 cards over a year, zilch, zip, nada

Citi- I have the simplicity card I have gotten one modest increase and the card has hit the one year mark

Discover - I do get increases but 300 is the "norm"

Can't even get it out of triple digits for some reason..

Amex has been the most generous, most recent increase 5 months ago and 28 days.

Citi SP's suck and are a bit of a nuisance in my book. 2K every 6 months is getting annoying... then again I usually only use them for $25/mo for the phone bill. Missed out on the glitch last month and those people were snagging multiple SP's for upwards of 40K worth of CLI's. So, we know the CL's are there to be had but, muzzled by Citi unless you want to HP each time and roll the dice.

Stingiest by far for me was Ebates Visa... Couldn't get it to budge from $1500 no matter who I called or how much spend.

Cap One Union Plus MC hasn't budged from $2500, but in all fairness I put $18 on it in the last year.

Elan gave me one $2500 CLI while I barely used the card.

Chase has given me 2 SP CLI's totalling $6500 since 2016.

Amex Blue Cash has given me 3 - 2X CLI's since 01/2017.

Discover started at $5500 in 2016 and has grown to $20.7K

... And then there's BoA.. Started at $2500 3/2017, now at $65K!
