Yep... I got the exact message when I applied on 12/24... and when I called on 12/26 I was offered those terms and a $1500 CL.

Didn't much care about the CL being low... I got in the door with Discover.

I got the same message last week after my 6th time applying.

The analysts exact words were "oh we have a long list of questions for you". She then sent me to a senior analyst. He grilled me about my 32 inquiries and asked me (nicely) to explain what I used each card for. I went about 5 cards down the list in my mind and he stopped me and approved me for 2k.

i would imagine that your list of questions will be somewhat longer

Congratulations. I had a pre-approval but somehow misplaced it and now don't have the Invitation number. I wonder if they can look it up easily in their system (based on SS no)?

Wow, you have a couple old collection too if I recall correctly. I tried them a month or so ago with a 645 EQ. with a 3 year old collection. Got declined in like 2 seconds. Figured main reason would be new accounts but the letter cAme with the collection being the sole reason for denial.

if you go to this page on Discover's site it will check to see if you have a pre-qualified offer for their card. It is a soft pull so worth a check there.

Discovers pre-qualified offers are issued no matter what information is used. I wouldnt base an application on this link unless it included a specific APR and terms. Even then id be wary....my cat had the same pre-qual offer I did
