No LUV from Discover

Wife can’t get luv from discover.

Keeps sayin insufficient experience.

4 statements cut. Tried full payments and tried multiple payments in a month and now trying balances going higher with lots of swipes Just denied again.

6700 SL. But “No luv for you”

Bummer on trying to poke Discover. At least 6,700 CL is better than having something small.

My Discover card started at $500 and after my 4th statement cut, it rose 1,200 (total: 1,700). Now, I am getting close to my 7th statement cut (the 16th) and so far I am trying to poke Discover, but still getting that insufficient experience.

I got about 6’ tall paper stack of insufficient experience letters from them! Lol

Just keep using your card responsibly and it'll eventually come.

CLI with them can be hit or miss. My 4th statement cut earlier this month and I still havent received a CLI. My starting line was $9500.

With her sl, she has a better shot at getting the $1500 plus cli than most. Id say poster above with $9500 has better odds of getting 3k plus cli when time is right. Those who usually get higher sl usually end up with better cli than us lower beings but it just takes time. You could be rejected today and smash the button tomorrow and get approved. Thats just Disco

I agree with what has been said already. I was fortunate getting approved for my early CLI's. Then, it stalled, I was denied 5 or 6 times before being successful again. I'm due again towards the end of September. Keep at it. The CLI's will come.

Honestly, IMHO, 4 statements cut is insufficient experience no matter how much spend is put on the card. Now, even though I agree that Disco is really difficult to decipher, 4 months is just not enough history on using their card. Of course, this is just my 2cents.

Even though each smash is only a SP, I think it would be a good idea to wait until 6th statement. At least that will give DW 6 months with the card.

Also, what is her AAOA and AoYA?

I requested a CLI on August 6th, and was denied due to “insufficient experience” as well. Then August 7th, Discover emailed me with an auto CLI. I guess I needed that extra 24 hours of experience 🤷‍♀️😆

Have you tried calling Disco via using backdoor number? I have and tried to see if I could get a cli because I wanted to take advantage of their BT offer. CSR told me that I am eligible for a cli, but since it's less then 3 months, to try calling back after Sept. 1st
Maybe you can try that way and see what they say.

@dgoats1, i feel ya pain. miss disco gave me a increase last year this time when i graduated from secure to unsecured.

i have hit the luv button many times, and she keeps yanking me back saying hold on, not yet! you aint ready for that increase.

so i just sit back and wait till she ready to give me some luv on her own. but every now and then i poke at her in her sleeping hours and

see what she will do.

So then what is "sufficient" experience with them? 6 months per CLI? 3 months?

I used to get CLI like clockwork every 3 months via the luv button. Now it is less often. Just pressed it last week and got $5k increase to $24,500. About 6 months since last approval.

Tried today too.

Tried a few days ago too.

No love, hardly ever.

But hey they started me at 1,800 in 9-2017, auto-increased to $2200 after 11 months. Then after probably at least 20 denials, accepted a manual increase request from me up to $3300, then to $4100, but have declined all further requests.

Since no one can really decipher Disco’s algorithm, I found for me “sufficient experience” didn't mean the length of time I had the card, but the amount of spend I was putting on the card.
