NFCU cli request

I recently refinance my Auto loan with Navy fed, they HP EQ so it's been about a week since they do the hard pull, so I was wonder if I request A CLI on my Cashrewards card will they use the same hard pull from last week or will it be another hard pull.

Typically with most CU's a HP is valid for 30 days... call and ask and get your CLI while you're on the phone.

No, you cant use the same hp with Navy. They dont work like that. Plus credit and auto are two separate departments. Always expect a hp with anything you do with Navy.

What @AverageJoesCredit mentioned above. Navy can be HP happy, but so generous at times. Crap, just writing this post gave me a HP with them 😵😜

Navy is really strange. Paid my cash rewards off to zero about 2 months ago. I kept a balance on there for a while, really to stay liquid and I have been doing some transitioning, and because my cash back was more than covering the interest. But the other day, I requested a cli, and was denied. I called in and said, “ hey, I have perfect payment history with you for over 3 yrs, and a good chunk of my money.” The rep told me she couldn’t give me a cli but was able to give me a 3rd, I repeat, (third) card, for the amount I requested. They are a strange lender.

I pull the trigger I ask for the CLI, they say my request is under review I should get a response in 24 hours . so I'll keep u guys update.

I hope I get approved! if not it's no big deal cause they didn't do another HP, seems like they use the same hp the use for my auto loan.

Scenarios:
1. I sneezed, NFCU HP is needed.
2. Ah I think I wanna do a CLI in 91/3, NFCU HP is needed
3. myFICO I think I found a way to get SP from NFCU, NFCU two HP are needed, one for thinking we would do an SP and another for the good measure.
4. I think NFCU is going to HP me for everything, NFCU, yes, yes we will.. BUT we will give you MASSIVE SL and CLI so love us for it and SHUT UP!

one way to not get a hp from them is to freeze all 3 bureau before you ask for a cli

I think this suggestion is against the myFICO forum rules. But I'm not a mod so I'll answer by saying I would rather not POKE the NFCU BEAR and cause any weird AA because of keeping reports frozen.

Yes, I'm sure nothing ever would happen, BUT, we're talking about the one bank who threw 15k CL on both my Cashrewards and Platinum cards with baddies and negatives on the report. SOOOO I'll take the HP and keep on trotting LOL.

alright I feel u on that one. don't try it be fair with NFCU. they been good to us
