Chase World of Hyatt card decision..?

Just app'd for the Chase World of Hyatt card and they only pulled Experian (689)..

However, it gave me a message saying they'll let me know the decision as soon as possible, but without a time limit.

No 7 days or 30 days message..

How screwed am I from getting the card?

Call the status line and see what message comes up from there. Phone number is 1-800-432-3117. As for your chances hard to say solely based on your EX score without more details like your current cards, utilization, any derogs, and so on

Called the automated line and my app status is 2 weeks.

Also, currently at 18% utilization across all my cards.

Cap1 QS 5y1mo.

BoA CR 5yo.

Chase FU 3y3mo.

CSP 3yo.

Citi DC 2y6mo.

I had a 60 day late on my car loan exactly 2 years ago which has since been paid off and closed.

I also got a personal loan about 2 months ago.

Based on the flowchart a 2 week message might be verification at this point. I would call the status line at the end of the week and see what the message changes to if anything. If it's still the same or you haven't gotten an approval from them you could call them up and see what is holding up the application; might be verification or another issue they want cleared up before proceeding.

If it comes back as denial then it might that your derogatories are holding you back from getting any more cards from Chase at this time. Might give them 3-6 months before trying again.

I got approved for the card in July and got a similar message. It took a week to get approved, never called recon. When I got approved, I never got an e-mail; it was the automated application status line that informed me. If you get disapproved, give Chase a breather for a few months. Get your scores up and you should be golden early next year. Fingers crossed on the approval!

Good advice given to you above already.

I have numerous Chase approvals in past 18 months.

I'm working on the (2nd) $3K spend on Hyatt SUB now.

They can be a little slow and sometimes want more info.

The 14-day message is good. The 7-10 days is not.

The 30-days means they are just still processing.

The hotline and Recon line are great numbers to have.

They helped my process along and kept me from being so nervous waiting ... lol.

Some of my cards took up to two or three weeks to get approved.

They are my largest lender now, total lines over $138K.

Just to add to the unpredictiblity of Chase -- When I applied for mine last week, I checked the automated line and received the "2 weeks" message. It then changed to the "7-10 days in writing" message a day later, so at that point I assumed that I was denied.

Then a couple of days ago, I received a call from the recon line. All they wanted to do was verify that I was actually the person who applied and to verify my address. It took less than 5 minutes, instant approval for a $4800 CL. So I'd give it 3-4 days then call and see, it might be something as simple as an identity verification.

^ ^ ^ Exactly ... this was my experience sometimes as well. The 7-10 days may be a denial but it may also mean they need more information or simply identification. If you get this message, call the Recon line and they will help you out. Even though I was an existing 19-year credit card customer when I started apping with them last year, none of my five newest cards got instant approval and most took at least 10 days to 2 weeks to process. On some they wanted identification documents. Eventually, all were approved with personal SLs between $35K and $21.9K and $9K for the INK Business, for which I just claimed a small sole proprietorship with more limited needs.

They called me, and as a matter of fact the call went unanswered because I was at work. I didn't even realize it was Chase until I checked my voicemail.

I wouldn't hesitate to give them a call just to make sure they have everything they need. They were super friendly and helpful.

It could go either way. In my case, I was always checking the hotline or Chase website on my other cards every couple of days to see status. (A time or two, the first place I saw a new card was when it showed up in my online login!) If I got a 7-10 day message, I was on the phone bcuz I knew what it meant. Basically I called first every time. They don’t mind you calling within reason to check on it or provide info. But give them time to process. They are not extremely fast but I was accepted every time. It’s hard to wait though!

I just checked my chase account and I was approved for 10.2k SL! No recon. Just waited it out.
