BoA CLI 7-10 day notice UPDATED

I just requested a CLI from BoA and got this message. Good? Bad? Ugly?

Let it play itself out? Call? This is the first time a CLI request to BoA didnt come back approved immediately. Thanks

Either you asked too soon or they just flat out denied it.

If it hasn't been at least 90 days since the last one then it's a timing issue and just try again when the time has passed. If it's not timing then it could just be you already have enough for their UW guidelines such as hitting 50% of your income.

Details will emerge when you get the letter stating the reasons and we can dive into those instead of guessing.

OP, if the CL does not change within 48-72 hours, it's a denial, unfortunately.

This. Usually the manual review is completed by COB next business day although I did in 1 case only get the CLI approval on the 3rd day. If successful you will get an email and the updated CL will be visible online within 30 minutes.

I was just speaking on chat with BoA CSR on a totally different matter. Afterwards, I asked about the date of my last CLI. Answer, 6/19/19. I asked her if my current CLI request had been officially denied, she said it was still processsing. The wait goes on I suppose

Well, that's interesting but, you're outside of the 90 days and it's still pending.... could be an excuse to say the letter is in the mail. A sure fire way to know would be call an analyst and ask directly.

I've never had a delayed reaction on a CLI attempt before but, I've seen instances around here every once in awhile where it turns into a CLI and not a denial.

I just did a CLI request and got the message that most are processed within 5 business days but could take up to 30. I was expecting an instant approval/counter but oh well.

Anytime I have got that message it was either because it was too soon since last CLI or according to the letter they sent out something like, they have extended the maximum credit their policy allows. but then in 3 months i get approved for a higher limit, go figure.

Good to know. I didn't even think about going for 3X, but I asked for $50k (nice round number) when I'm at $17k, which is actually just a smidge under 3X. I didn't get the 7-10 day message like the OP, but a message saying it can take 5 business days for review and possibly up to 30.

So I broke down today and called the front line CSR and asked if my CLI request was alive or declined. Put me on hold for like 5 minutes and then came back and said he couldnt get any info. He couldnt even tell if the request was still under review or not.

CLI button still up on my account. <Sigh>

Check if the request for a credit line increase link is there tomorrow. If you made your request after last night's batch run started there's a chance it wouldn't have been flushed last night, but it should be gone tomorrow morning.

Letter arrived today .... Amount of credit extended .... exceeds our max.

Try a lowball amt like $22k which puts my at 50% of income?
