Does Citi Double Pull..? & 6/6 Rule

Trying to understand my garden goal of 0/6 on accounts and inq. as my end goal is another Citi card but I need to be under 6/6. I always looked at my report and saw Citi on Experian. Now I see they pulled both TU and EX for one card but only TU for the other. I applied for the R+ on July 1st and DC on July 17th. Only the DC shows twice. Are they more likely to double pull both TU and EX or just TU?

I can’t speak for everyone, but I was double pulled for Citi. I think it was Ex and Eq. I’d have to double check to be sure.

Sometimes pulls are based on geographic locations. Sometimes it’s based on a lender preference.

Echoing the above, their algorithm will determine the required pulls for the application. It's not product driven and it's not derived on say the first approval is 2 HPs and then one-pull "freebies" after that. YEMV.

My Citi pull last year was a double - EQ & EX. It was for their secured product (so, obviously, my file wasn't so hot back then )

I applied for the Citi Double Cash rewards on 9/5/19(got denied due to my BK), and they did a double pull for me on EQ and EX.

I figured it had to be per bureau, not total, based on how many people around here get Citi cards with tons of new accounts.

I don't have a lot of interest in most of Citi's cards except DC if I don't have a better 2% option in a year when my Disco match ends and possibly Best Buy when I go TV shopping next year.
