Chase Amazon Pending - Update

I applied for Chase Amazon Visa the same time I applied for my Chase ink. My amazon was denied after less than 2 weeks for too many open lines with Chase (I currently had zero because they were all closed and paid off) I submitted recon through my CPC Banker.

Last week my ink was approved for $27k after faxing my EIN number for proof of business.

Yesterday, still no update on Amazon and my banker didn't have information... maybe I jumped the gone but I was feeling pretty confident considering the ink and called verification today... After being transferred 4 times for some reason, the 2nd person was confused and I ended up back at lending after 3rd person and I got someone that reminded me of speaking to Barclays... CONSERVATIVE NANCY.

After 2 long holds, she comes back to ask me about Bankruptcy... "What Bankruptcy? I have not filed one for over 10 years, so there is nothing of such on my credit reports! and 2. Why so many inquiries? 7 in the last 4 months according to her.

I was like I refinanced my car!

I thought it was resolved and good as she didn't ask anything else and put me back on hold to finalize to only come back after less than a minute and say "at this time, we are just not comfortable with what you have done since the bankruptcy and why you are doing some much credit shopping!"

EXCUSE ME.

I hung up and called back this afternoon to only be told that since it was reconsidered, it could not be looked at again... SINCE WHEN?!

Sorry to hear that. From what I've heard, Chase is not HUCA friendly anymore. Recon is one and done now.

If I recall correctly i believe you can only call and ask for one reconsideration. This has changed since you have last been around the forums. Came around like a year or so back if i recall correctly.

It was my understanding that Chased didn't much like it when people apped for 2 cards on the same day?

That added with your other recent approvals could be something they're simply not compfortable with, as they mentioned.

Given your name, I'd have thought that even you knew to tread lightly with them.

I applied for the CSR last year and wasn't auto approved (despite a great score and high income), after a week I called and talked to a rep who indicated that Chase has been tightening up on their approvals... something to the tune of "not many people are being automatically approved anymore" which tells me that overall Chase is less inviting than a couple years ago. The 'one reconsideration' datapoint reinforces that idea for me.

I can also confirm that we can only recon with Chase once...I applied for CF last July, tried to recon (unsuccessfully), tried to HUCA only for them to tell me that they had already reconsidered my application and can't do anything else at this time...

BK's are on the report for 10 years. I am surprised you did not know that. Secondly if Chase or previous entity was included then they also have it in their records. JP Morgan Chase Bank has updated their computer system to be much more cruel to those that waste the banks resources. This is starting with the 5/24 rule and continuing with elimination of the HUCA ability if you are not satisfied with your answer in recon. They also no longer like churners for that reason either.

Remember talking with a Chase underwriter is like talking with your mother. She knows what you are doing and she does not like it but once in a while if you are truthful she might let you slide.

i wasn't over 5/24

and for the love of... they just approved my $27,000 business card but Nancy drew didn't like my 4 inquiries for a car loan so wouldn't give me a $500 limit card!!
