Huntington Voice Rewards Mastercard!!!

Soooo I app'd for the huntington card yesterday and got the 5-7 day message for further review. I've been banking with huntington for about a year and a half and I have both a checking&savings account with them. They pulled my EQ which is currently at 692 and I have a clean credit report with 19 percent utilization across the board. Has anyone applied with them and got this same message and was you approved or did you get the snail mail????

It can be either or, OP. So, just give it time. If it doesn't display on The Hub dashboard along with the checking/savings, then it was likely not approved.

The only exception is if they request further information to continue processing.

Let me start out by saying most banks credit card and deposit services do not see one another. They officially do not care. Even the relationship banks only see if the account exists or not and do not look through how well you manage it. The score, assuming it is a FiCO and not something you got from Credit Karma or equivalent, is decent. Not one high enough that would let you fly through on an instant approval but not low enough to get a denial without some additional reason. The utilisation is a little elevated but that has nothing to do with the application since it will impact your score. My guess is that you are most likely waiting on an approval letter or some basic verification.

I think it's safe to say I probably did not get approved😔...I checked my gun and it's not showing up so I called in and they advised I would be receiving a letter and that was it...They're on my hit list now so I'll be trying again in about 6 months!👍

Well, just for DPs @Keatonsdaddy, let us know what you receive. This can definitely help others since Huntington isn't one that comes up with frequency.

I applied, received the 5-7 message...then...4 hours later the account disclosure and terms popped up in my email...Yet, nothing on HUB...Soooo...

We haven't seen a response from @Keatonsdaddy so perhaps he can provide an update? Nothing has shown up on the Approvals forum soooo...

So apparently I got denied for having a active delinquent account of my credit report. I do not understand that because I haven't missed a single payment on anything for over 6 years. I tried calling underwriting to see if I could talk to someone but you cannot talk to underwriting at huntington. I did have a charge off on a FPB card around 6 1/2 years ago but it was settled so idk if that's still showing up for them or not

Thanks for the update @Keatonsdaddy and sorry to hear about the denial. When the Huntington CCs were launched years ago, there was no option for UW reconsideration.

Is the delinquency or derog item still on your CRs? Worse case scenario it gets removed after the SOL and you can try them in the future.

I'd like you to elaborate more if you wouldn't mind? I have been denied due to no current relationship a few times from different banks, i think having an existing relationship can help tremendously depending on lender

Just because it was settled it is still considered delinquent since you did not pay 100% of the amount owed. That accounts negatives will drop off after 7 years from the date of last payment. Huntington can still see it at the end of their report. Give it time so that you can recover to some kind of version of clear history and you can try again. Huntington is a good bank but their underwriting is stingy. I personally cannot even file an application unless I step into a branch and the closest one is many states away.

If it is 6 1/2 years old, you can probably ask for EE (early exclusion) from TU now. At 3 months out from drop off date (or 1 month from "on report until" date on the CR) you can ask for EE from EX. EQ is messy and I suggest to just let it fall off naturally.
