Citi Double Cash or PNC Cash Rewards

Hey Fico Family,

Considering getting the Citi Double Cash Card to replace my Capital One Savor card. While I love the Savor card because it is metal and all. I have found myself not spending as much on eating out and entertainment. I was wondering is Citi inquiry sensative. I have applied in the past and got declined for too many inqs in 6 months. How many is too many in 6 months. 6 of the inqs are mortgage related. I have an 749 EX score was wondering my chances. I was also considering the PNC Cash Rewards and I do have deposit accounts with them.

The DC is a great card. It's my daily driver for sure. It may be worth mentioning that I got my DC after a long (and somewhat unfruitful) apping run. So for ME, Citi proved to be fairly insensitive to inquiries. However, many people say that Citi is very inquiry-sensitive. I suppose it really is just an overall-credit-profile thing. I would check the Citi prequal page first. If the card you want shows up with solid terms, give it a whirl!

I love my PNC cash reward card a lot. 4% for gas, 3% restaurant 2% grocery 1% everything else. I heard they could be inquiry sensitive but upon application I was 4/6 and 6/12 for inquiries. They pull Experian Fico 9 for lending. They tend to be relationship based so depository does help.

The high tier cards are definitely inquiry sensitive. The DC has many DP showing UW might be more lenient to some degree
