UBER Visa

I had just been approved for 2nd Disco and felt I could afford a TU pull for I appd for UBER Visa. Got dreaded 7-10 day massage. Called Recon.. they want me to MAIL in my Social, Bank Statement, and DLic. Is this normal? I don't want to go thru all this trouble just for the Jokers to say.. "we're sorry" ya kno.. seasoned members please chime in.

Congrats on Disco. That's normal verification for Barclays. Especially if first card with them.

Nobody should ever feel secure sending sensitive documents like that in the mail. Fax is one thing but snail mail? Forget about it.

USPS 2nd day air or overnight are solid delivery options. I would have no issues using it

USPS 2nd day air or overnight are solid delivery options. I would have no issues using it

When I renewed my drivers license they sent it to me in the mail. When I lost my SS in a fire the replacement was sent regular mail. Bank statements show up every month in the mail. Theft of your personal mail box is where most mail theft happens yet we receive these items in the mail daily. As long as you drop sensitive mail directly at a post office, risk of theft of something you send TO a business like Barclays is infinitesimal. A theif would have to steal your mail already in custody.

That's one item in an envelope in the mail. You're talking about sending multiple documents, everything needed to steal your identity, through the same post office that managed to lose 7 days worth of mail a few weeks ago when my roommate accidentally pulled our name tag out when he went to grab the mail so they stopped delivering it and left a blue card. Roommates went to go pick it up at the post office and the driver claimed he delivered all of it and that was that. Multiple credit documents including a replacement credit card gone. No thanks. I'll fax it if I think the card is worth it but I don't put anything sensitive in the mail. I can't control the fact that I don't have a choice on receiving sensitive documents in the mail but I sure do have a choice when it comes to sending them.
