American Express Preapproval

Hey everyone,

I hope everybody is doing well. My question is if American Express shows me what my APR will be on the preapproval page does this mean I have a solid chance for approval? (I know nothing is ever a 100%). I check weekly and this is the first time its showed me this. Thanks in advance.

Others will be along here with some insight but if its giving you a solid APR you should be good go.

Amex prequals are pretty reliable, so if you have been preapproved for a card with a solid APR you should be good for it as long as your profile supports it. Good luck

I surmise your profile was not as strong as it is now? IIRC minimum Experian FICO 8 is ~670 for their core cards. Hopefully, you can clear that hurdle.
