Hello All,

I have read the forums many times, but this is my first time posting.

I want your help on what would be a good card to app for based on my credit profile...

I have no clue how to add my info to the signature like you all do but here it goes...

My FICO 8 with Experian is 741, FICO 9 with Transunion is 727 and I don't know my FICO score with Equifax. I know the Vantage score is 698.

All accounts paid on time, no baddies... I have one open auto lease and 1 open card with Avant that has a limit of $750.00. My balance on my card is currently $7.00. I am an authorized user on an Amex card with a $1,000.00 limit with a $512.00 balance. I also am an authorized user on a CapitalOne card with at $800.00 limit. That one has a $600.00 balance. But it only reports to Experian and Equifax for some reason.

I have about 4 inquires with Transunion from 2018 that will drop off soon and 16 or 17 with both Experian and Equifax.

first remove yourself from both AU accounts

both are high Util compared to limits, so they are hurting you, not helping you

** on your own profile, you have 1% Util

with the AU's added - you have 43% util

then wait until those Inq's drop off - and the recent ones age a bit - say July/Aug

then check prequal for a Cap1 or Discover

Have you checked pre-approvals with Amex? Not sure about the history on your AU account, but if your scores are that high, and you have a decent history through the AU account, you can probably prequal for your own Amex.

Apple card pulls and currently only reports to TU if you wanted to balance out that missing tradeline 😂 (not recommended )

lil off topic but i get sooo annoyed when theres missing accounts on one or some of the bureaus, some just simply dont report from the get. I oddly REQUIRE equilibrium of accounts on all reports(or on none of em, not just one), keeps things simple n easier to track growth (looking at u apple card)

@SouthJamaica wrote:

@Anonymous wrote:

Most of those are about to drop off in the next two months, but there are about 5 or 6 from the last 60 days. All those apps were denials. BBVA, Chase, Citi, Synchrony and Discover. Any suggestions? My profile is about 5 years old, but I have inquiry anxiety and I want to make an education decision. I was thinking a bank that only pull transunion is my best bet.

BTW I'm in CA.

Thank!

IMHO you should simply not be applying for credit cards at the moment.

If you insist on applying for something, Barclays and Synchrony are known to pull TU. Also some credit unions: Evansville Teachers FCU, Lake Michigan CU,

Just wanted to give an update and thank you all for you advice!!!

I applied for the Barclays Uber Visa last night... I got the 10 day message, but I called the backdoor number this morning and was transferred to their security department. The rep I spoke to simply asked me to verify my name, DOB and last 4 of social. He then advised me I was approved for a $2,000.00 limit. I am excited that I was approved for a card that actual has benefits I can utilize.

I would be remiss if I didn't ask: Do you think I should recon the SL? Or am I pushing my luck?
