So I did the prequalification of a Kohl’s Charge card. I got prequalified and was invited to apply.

i filled out the application and it came back as having to wait 7-10 days for a letter.

I called Kohls asked what does that mean, the lady from the credit department responded that my application was under pending status and that I will be mailed something with further steps/information which could take from 10-20 days because of Covid-19.

Whats this verification process? Or is it just a run around to saying that I have been denied?

my guess would be some type of verification if she specifically said "next steps"...... good luck!!!

I got the same message when I applied for my Cap1 Savor One card. It took weeks to hear back from them. All they wanted was an income verification. I was approved. They probably want to do some type of ID verification with you.
