Amex BCE Denial

Hello everyone,

I'm newborn to myFico and credit life at all. Haha

I aplied on Apr (Exp 689) 25 for Amex BCE and denied. Reasons quoted were(like almost everything lol): 1. Too many inquiries( I have 13 I wasn't playing it smart when I got my first cars I applied for like 7 others.

2. Short credit history ( First account opened 09/13/2019

3. Low credit limit( 5 cards: 3500 limit)

4. Too many new trades.

I didn't have good start with my credit and I wish i have found out abothis forum sooner for sure I would have better results.

Whats the advice on when is the best to apply again for Amex cc? How is amex with new credits?

My scores are: TU: 698

EX: 710

EQ: 705

Utilization: 3%

You might have more luck with their charge cards. They are pretty tight with revolvers.

Maybe garden for the summer and revisit AMEX in the fall.

Also you might want to consider closing one of your cards if you don't think you can grow its limit.

Now I have

BOA Cash Rewards: 1500

Discover: 800

Cap One: Quicksilver (Use to be platinum) 300

PayPall MC: 300

Credit one: 600

I was thinking about closing Credit One but only reason for me to keep it is utilization.

Sorry for your denial, as mentioned upthread, give it some time say 6 months or so.

Then check the Amex Pre-Qual page.
