Citi Shell Mastercard

I applied online for this card and I got a screen that said congratulations.....a representative will contact you in a couple days and you should receive a confirmation email.

Could I possibly be approved and could it also be for the regular fuel card instead of the Mastercard like most places do?

Appreciate any input!

OK, I called the Shell application status line and they said it can take 3 days for the app to actually load into the system where they can see it. She said call back in a couple of days.

Just FYI, she also said if approved, you get what you apply for. You can have the fuel card and Mastercard both if you apply for them.

I will fall out of my chair if I get a Shell Mastercard......I can't even get a $100 cli on my Best Buy Mastercard!!

Congrats sounds like a mastercard approval to me. They have a starting limit of 750.

We'll see....apped for Sears also and got the under review message. Citi just doesn't like my credit profile.

me either... I was declined sears store and MC in same day... at least it was same credit pull for both!

What was the outcome for the citi shell card? I got the same message, saying it would be a couple days and someone would contact me??? Did you end up getting the card?

No dice....declined for bk on report on 2010. I called and they said they can't recon a bk denial.

Interesting, I also have a 2010 BK. I have the Citi Best Buy MC, but they acquired the existing account from Cap One/HSBC. They did approve a $1k CLI on it last fall, but sounds like I shouldn't push my luck and try for a Shell MC or Sears. Fortunately I'm not interested in either, but sorry they shot you down just for a 5 year old BK, unforeseen stuff and/or mistakes happen.
