Amazon Prime Store Card, Synchrony, and BK7??

Hi Folks,

As I contemplate my next credit moves 14 months out of my BK7 DC, I am considering many options for the future. One card/bank I cannot seem to catch a break with is Synchrony. I am an Amazon Prime member, I order pretty frequently (I even have a couple items finishing their 6-month equal pay plan), and I like the service. I've scanned the boards here which seem to indicate the the store card (NOT the Chase co-branded card, from which I am banned until 2029) is pretty easy to get. When I went to the card's site, I was confronted with the following terms and conditions on the middle of the page (see screenshot):

Is it true that you can have NO BK, or is there a time limit? I mean I've read that folks with recent BKs are getting this card, but it CLEARLY states the no-BK rule. I guess it's YMMV?

EDIT: PS, I had NO SYNCHRONY cards IIB.

Never knew that was there haha! I wonder if that is new.. Highly doubt they have changed the rules though

They gave me a Amazon store card 5 yrs post BK7. I don't know if the timing or what, Just wanted to throw that dp out there

Sync isn't BKPhobic so Unless that's something very new then I think that's just a reiteration of Chase's No BK policy since they're an Amazon card issuer as well.

There have been alot of people around the fourms that has a bk with a amazon card but maybe they are tighting up. They also have the secured amazon card now that can graduate. Maybe its a way to push that.

Years ago, I had two unpaid COs ( Sams Club and Walmart ) and they were showing on my reports and Synchrony still approved me again for those same cards. Synchrony is very forgiving. Good luck

Also, how do you know you are Chase BLed til 2029?

Can't get a Chase card with a Bk on your report. My Bk falls off in 2029

I had BK7 in 10/12, Discharge in 01/13. I applied Amazon Store Synchrony card in 2017, approved with $1900 SL. Never able to get a CLI, until yesterday, when I had my CC UTIL down to 5%. So, yes, you can apply Amazon store synchrony card post BK.

My DC was in December "16 and I got amazon in June

'17 and the limit was 2.5k or 3.5k. Was instant and my Ex was in low 600's

Hello,

Yes, you can apply and have a good chance of being approved. Not sure what the time limit is. I was recently approved for the Amazon store card, post 2 years bk7(2018) and IIB.. They are very forgiving..🤗

Well I guess it's the 2-yr mark then. I app'd and was denied. The AA letter: bankruptcy. The e-letter cites TU but no score, and it was a HP . So I'll wait until May 2021... thanks for everyone's advice.

I also believed that if you get denied, they offer the credit builder secured card. That did not happen.

i need to GARDEN!!! Ok, oh look at those CCs that need watering...

EDIT: ps, this makes 3 apps in one year for the same card: 8/19, 2/20, & 7/9. I use Amazon a lot so this is hurty and stuff lol
