      <title>Amazon Store Credit App, No letter after 20 days still.</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have all the credit reporting on freeze. I did a bit of research and found that Transunion was the go to for Synchrony Bank to do credit checks.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I logged into the TU account, read to give it 15 minutes after notification to unfreeze it. So, I unfroze it waited 30 minutes and applied. Denied. Says I should get an email within 4 days, if no email than 7 - 10 days for snail mail (the way the USPS has been, maybe 2 weeks).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have a score of 820ish, with a debt / credit ratio of around 13%.&amp;nbsp; So, I figured I would have no problems.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;About an hour later, I get an email from TU "Your freeze has been lifted". Then it dawned on me THAT was the notification, not the other.&amp;nbsp; So, now that the freeze had been officially lifted, I tried again.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Another denial.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I called synchrony bank and spoke with someone who kept me on the phone for 10 minutes while they were looking at everything.&amp;nbsp; She said that she couldn't approve the application, and to wait for the letter and re-apply. She couldn't state why she couldn't approve it either.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I checked the TU report and saw I got dinged for a credit check. So, they did run it probably the second time. Should I call back on Tuesday? Wait for the letter? Or am I SOL with a ding on my account and a possible second one if I apply again?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thank you for your response.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is it possible that after an initial denial but after the post denial review (as per the woman on the phone) they would accept the application?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I've only had this happen once, years ago. There was an issue with the credit reporting company who had gotten my father's information onto my credit report (he went through some financial issues). After I explained the credit card they are holding against me was taken out 10 years before I was born, and it was evident by my date of birth provided, they granted me the CC.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I just wanted a card that allowed 0% interest for at least 12 months on fairly large purchases.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I didn't realize the Chase card allowed that as well (deferred payment?) until after I had already applied.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am no where near 5/24. I have a Chase Card I took out 7 years ago (19k limit) and an under $2500 auto loan with them. I am half tempted to apply for the Chase card, but I don't want to keep dinging my account with hard inquiries.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Well, that wasn't fun.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I kept telling the CSR that I cant access the email they sent me, to see if they need more information.&amp;nbsp; So, I asked to be transferred to a supervisor (Craig).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;He said I have to wait 31 days, then make an application again, and it will create another hard inquiry.&amp;nbsp; I tried to explain to him that they already have the credit report from a few days ago, and why cant they override the denial as I have nothing wrong with my credit and use that report. He said it's not possible,&amp;nbsp; and hung up on me.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Well, I wont be making application to that company anymore. Wow.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

You already have some history with them, and if you're well below 5/24 with good credit, you probably have good odds. In the grand scheme of things, an HP isn't that big a deal, especially if you don't really have any on your CRs to begin with.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I had to call Synchrony to send me the letter of denial as I never got it after the 10 days.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Letter says the reasons I did not score well was;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Applicant Associated With Multiple Phone Changes&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Limited history of consumer at applicants phone number&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Limited history of consumer at applicants phone number and address&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Too few satisfactory accounts&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What on earth is Sagestream and what on earth are their reasons above? I had a Hard pull from trans union,&amp;nbsp; not these people.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have a FICO of 820 plus from the big three, with 10% credit utilization. Last account I took out was in March 2019, and it was paid off.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is there anyway around this?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I am the primary on my family's verizon account. One of their negatives for me was 'too many phone numbers listed'.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Which phone numbers? Everyone on my account.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Off to the freeze world they go. Can't believe this is even a company places pull from. I have no idea where they get their scoring system from.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I pulled my SageStream report because I was curious as to what was on there and I too found so many phone numbers that I barely remembered having them as I read through the list. &amp;nbsp;It also had all the name spelling errors for everyone that had misspelled my name or got my name backwards during a credit inquiry for what seemed to be 25+ years (I think this led to aliases being listed on my other reports incorrectly). &amp;nbsp;Suffice it say...it had a lot of info on there that was no longer relevant....home phone numbers from 15 years ago are no longer relevant in my opinion. &amp;nbsp;I called the number and spoke to a representative about cleaning up the report. &amp;nbsp;The call took about 15 minutes, I went through line by line of information that was either incorrect or severely outdated. &amp;nbsp;He stated he would open a dispute, gave me a reference number and about 2 weeks later, I received a new report with all the incorrect information removed. &amp;nbsp;Disputing with them was A LOT easier than with the other 3 major credit bureaus and while I hadn't been denied credit or had someone reference that report as you've stated is your experience, I felt better knowing it was cleaned up. &amp;nbsp;Give them a call.....&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Word to the wise regarding playing the long game:&amp;nbsp; fix, don't freeze.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You will also want to pull your LexisNexis report (LexisNexis now owns SageStream BTW) and dispute off any errors so they don't percolate down to the CRAs.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
