Chase Freedom Unlimited App, approval odds?

Finishing up a refi on my mortgage.. once I am done with that I'd like to apply for the chase unlimited rewards card.

Credit scores from the big 3, around 800.

Debt to Credit ratio, under 5%. I already had two hard inquiries this year, once in September and another in October for the refi. Already have 2 accounts with chase, United from 2013 and car loan from 2016, so i have positive history with them.

Good odds for approval?

I'd say you have pretty good odds of approval, especially with an existing Chase relationship and history. The only thing that could result in a denial is if you're at 5/24 or over. Chase has a rule that they won't approve if you've opened up 5 cards in the past 24 months. You can search on YouTube and all over this forum of folks who are well-qualified (by income and/or FICO 8) for a Chase CC, but get denied for this reason. If this isn't you, then go for it!

So, I tried the pre qualified route and found this;

We are unable to locate any offers for you at this time.

This may be because you have opted out of "pre-screened" offers from Chase and other companies or you have recently responded to another offer from Chase.

1) I am not sure what 'opted out of pre-screened' even means

2) I have not responded to any offer from chase, let alone another company.

Any idea?

Having your credit files locked or frozen would also prevent Chase from prequalifying you.

How many cards have you acquired over the last 24 months?

0 credit cards.

Last one I took out was in July of 2017.

OK, so no 5/24 issue, you currently have cards with Chase (i.e. existing satisfactory business relationship), and your scores infer you have a clean credit profile.

A failure to prequalify with Chase does not translate to an impending kiss of death. Understand that there is always some risk of denial but personally I would go ahead and pull the trigger.

You can also go in-branch to ask for any offers that might be there for you. I've seen it stated here many times that in-branch preapprovals are the most reliable of all.

@Anonymous You will recieve probably an instant approval if not then you will have to do verification. But my best guess is you will recieve an instant approval.
