Hyatt hotel Visa/MC app

Was still looking to replace or upgrade my VISA/MC cards from C1 to well, anyone....lol

That being said, was looking at Hyatt WOH and similar branded cards and was looking for DP on chances.

Basically my EX score is 650, 1 year old HP, but no collections etc. AAoA is 2 1/2 years but oldest is 5 years old.

Worth a HP or maybe garden until summer? I have no other history with Chase, and no other products from them...and less than 3 new cards since 2018.

Are you currently a Hyatt member or do you frequent their properties? Do you know your other FICO scores? Chase tends to double-pull in a variety of cases. What are the CCs and CLs of your current accounts? Any negatives?

Yes, I do use Hyatt property if available, so it's not for just collecting, but actually use with some regularlarity.

Other scores are TU 662 EQ 640...all FICO 8 scores, ....oldest card is a C1 Platinum and a QS1 [2 yrs old]

Other cards are Disco, 3 Amex, Amazon Prime SC and Open Sky Visa...uti is about 55 60%.

No collections, and only 1 inq drop off next year summer.

Not looking for the prime card really...perfectly happy with base entry...lol.

My suggestion is to wait until the scores rise above 700 and utilization is below a reasonable level, preferably below 20%. You're definitely good on the inquiries side of things, mix of accounts, definitely below 5/24 and likely on income.

One method you can try to gauge the odds is the Chase pre-qualification tool. And, while the latter is predominantly geared toward Chase core products, it can serve as a barometer on where you stand as potential chances of approval.

IMHO it would be premature to go for that card now. I consider it a premium card, and Chase is kinda tough.

I would get your util down and that in result in theory would increase your score and chances. If you have a balance on a non 0% card, you're effectively canceling out any sign up bonuses by paying high interest on other cards anyways.
