Poking the Synchrony bear for a Verizon Visa CLI

Has anyone tried to poke the Synch bear for a CLI on their Verizon Visa yet? The request more button is there screaming to be smashed when you log on to their full website.

?Nah I started out with 5500 and that is enough for the card at this time. Figure with Sync being strange lately and slashing alot of peoples CL's or closing them out completely depending I rather not draw attention to myself although have fairly low exposure with sync between that card and lowes at 40kish..

I wasn't sure if anyone was getting any CLI at this point with the card program only being around 3 months old.

I'm guessing that's what the letter will say. Since I'm using this as my daily driver (my last Verizon bill was covered and then some) I'd like the limit to be higher than $2k with their unpredictable credit reporting schedule.

My DW acquired the Verizon card on 6/24 and the CLI button appeared about a month later. Throwing caution in the wind, we hit the Luv button and got the immediate denial. I don't remember what the rejection letter stated...

Sync went on a closing spree since then, and we avoid that section of the website in fear now!

However, I logged in to make a payment this morning and a popup appeared asking for an update to the income. Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing... or possibly nothing at all. Cautiously waiting to see if anything comes from this recent event.

Issuers in the US are required to ask you on a regular basis to provide your income, in and of itself being asked shouldn't trigger any alarm bells. You're not required to respond although if you do not they can deny the request.

This is how I feel! For what it's used for, my 5k is sufficient. Not waking that sleeping bear.

I like this card, but I don't see me asking over 10K in the future. After all its still Sync 😏

Here's my experience --

I tried after my 3rd statement cut. Denied. Same "Insufficient experience..." letter.
I tried again this morning, 4th statement cut. Denied. Will get a letter in 7-10 days.

I'll try again after my 5th statement cuts, but it does look like 6 months is when they might grant a CLI.

This is not like the Amazon Store Card CLI schedule.

Tried again today for a CLI. Another instant denial. Oh well. I am going to try every month after my statement cuts to see if the 6 month wait is the reason...
