SP CLI Requests for AMEX, Citi, & Chase

Does anyone know how often soft pull credit limit increases can be requested for American Express and Citi? I assume it is every 6 months for each, which is what I have been doing for my Blue Cash Preferred and Double Cash, but I just want to make sure that I cannot do so sooner for both or either. One last thing, I cannot request a SP CLI for my Chase Amazon Rewards Visa Signature Card, correct? Thanks.

Yes, Amex and Citi are both 6 months between CLIs, no sooner... I don't know about the Chase Amazon.

@CreditAggie, thanks for the reply. Are you certain about Chase being a hard pull? I have read others indicating the same thing. However, the CSR who I spoke with said he checked my account and there was not a SF CLI offer for me, which, to me, suggested either 1) there may be an offer at some point or 2) he didn't know what he was talking about.

I haven't heard of Chase having SP CLI "offers," but they can sometimes give auto-CLIs. Maybe that was what the CSR was thinking of?

Common advice I see is that you are typically better off applying for a second Chase card and then reallocating limits rather than requesting a CLI on an existing card. I have also seen DPs suggesting that you also need to be under 5/24 in order to have a CLI approved just like applying for a new card.

@CreditAggie, thanks. Your posts confirm what I have read. You're also probably correct about what the CSR meant. Either way, I didn't have any "offer" anyway and I certainly didn't want a HP just for a CLI.

Can anyone verify that SF CLIs can be requested, via phone calls, no earlier than 6 months for Wells Fargo? Thanks.
