Is anyone else seeing preselected offers for Propel?

I am aware this card was supposed to be discontinued but I used the Wells Fargo tool to check for offers and it has an offer for the Propel. I clicked through to the app and it filled out all of my info so the app seems to still be up. I wonder if this ends up being a back door to the card? I mean it's a prescreened offer, it's not something I went and screwed with URLs and such to find. You can even see the opt out language at the bottom.

I would guess that it's legit, they only closed the card to new applications so could still keep open or reopen certain paths pretty easily.

They did do something similar with the Propel World where the card was closed to online applications a couple of years ago and was not actively marketed. You could still legitimately call in and apply for the card over the phone with a CSR until within the last month or so.

Well I always wanted this card and honestly that SUB is a lot more manageable than the $300 for $3K they used to offer so I'll probably take a stab on the 1st after my US Bank app if the offer is still there. Wells Fargo was blowing up my mailbox before the pandemic started and my profile is so much better now.

I used this on 4/19 after it was taken down it went to review I locked my

files two days later declined for locked file csr said they would process application anyway if I unlocked experian

It certainly isnt just experian they pull although that is who they use for score if you bank with them. They have hit me with EQ.. all depends on geo location or random with Wells

Yeah I know specific locking to influence pulls is not allowed I was just reporting in my case they asked me to unlock Experian if I wanted to process the application

Yes EQ has the freeze totally removed because EQ is a hassle. I may just go ahead and permanently unfreeze all three now that my compulsions are under control.

Yeah I wasn't trying to game anything. When I went for them last time they pulled EX and the "which banks pull which reports for apps" thread says EX or EQ and my EQ is permanently thawed because EQ makes me nervous with their system issues. I don't have anything to hide on any of my reports, I just usually put a temporary lift for all of them for 3 days when I app for something, sounds like maybe a week is better in this case.

Good idea to thaw them out. I know they've pulled a combo of TU and EX on some of my prior apps.

Thawed all three credit reports and applied this morning. Called the app status line and she said it was declined but she said that the system had added my suffix to my last name without a space making the wrong last name and resubmitted it for a second review. Seeing how I didn't get a HP though, I'm going to guess that it was declined because the card is no longer offered and not just a name mismatch. Maybe the manual review will sneak it through, we will see.

I am so aggravated right now. Just received the letter today and it says that the application wasn't processed because the offer wasn't for me. They misspelled my name, combining my last name with the suffix, and I already explained that on Monday. Now they're saying that my social security number doesn't match the offer (zero chance that I mistyped my social, I'm a perfectionist with these apps) and that I would have to reapply. I said no problem and then I go to the website and it says I have no offers. I feel like I just dodged a bullet...
