US Bank Altitude Reserve Approval Chance?

Hello all,

I just applied couple days ago but is pending. I tried to call the recon number but no one answered for over 30min. I decided to hang up.

What's the typical outcome with pending US Bank application? I did not get any notification about a credit pull which is weird.

Inquiry 1/6, 1/12, 3/24; new account 1/6, 1/12, 3/24. I have US Bank cash+ but no banking relationship. Good scores 790+ across the broad. 30 active cards but all good history.

@csryang What number did you call?

You can call U.S. Bank Credit Card Underwriting Services at (800) 947-1444. The phone menu has the option to enter your social security number to get a status update but it sometimes doesn't work as intended. You can also press "0" to speak directly with a representative.

The majority of USBank card applications go to manual review; don't interpret yours doing so as a sign of ilikely denial.

Inquiries/new accounts are within their threshold, if they pulled from TU or EQ it could take up to 24 hrs for you to get a notiification of the HP depending upon what you are using to monitor.

Nothing you've shared would be an obvious red flag or a pointer toward denial, as long as you don't have any of the 3 major CRAs or Sagestream locked or frozen.

I see, thanks for your response!

I called again and this time waited for 24 min and spoke with a representative.

She said the system needs time to verify my US Bank relationship even though she can clearly see that I have a US Bank Cash+ card. She says it takes 1-2 days to verify the US bank relationship and after that, it will then check the credit report. She said I should get a response within 5-7 days.

It seems that it's a manual review. Not sure why US Bank is doing it this slow. Oh well, we will see how things go.
