Evansville Teachers FCU

Just wanted to give all myfico members a heads up! Looks like anyone can join this credit union! Their Visa rates are super low, also they use TU 04 Classic as thier scoring model! Just called an got more information, Im not planning on joining anytime soon, but if anyone on these forums are looking for a great way to establish a membership and perhaps a new line of credit, check this credit union out! If anyone decides to, let me know what your results are! Best of luck!

I just looked . While there are a lot of organizations you can be affiliated within that area, it's not open to the general public. They do have some very low rates for credit cards . 6.25% for non rewards and 8.25% with rewards. Too bad I don't live in that area.

Hmmm. Just down the road from me only 60 miles off Interstate 64. I already have one really good CU from Evansville in Heritage Federal. I seen some TV commercials between local newscasts on them occasionally but wasn't exactly looking for another one, however next time i'm over that way again maybe i'll drop in and check it out. I am not currently eligible for membership, but I am willing to donate $5 to the Mater Dei Friends & Alumni Association in order to become eligible. (Please add an additional $5 at time of funding).

Dang that is some good rates on their non-reward and rewards CC's

Irish,

It does appear they are open to the public thru a $5 donation. You might have been looking at just Evansville FCU, not the teachers fcu. Wonder who they pull?

I was looking at the right one. I just never followed the link to actually join and was only looking at the list of membership businesses.

They pull TransUnion for all their consumer loan products, they utilize the Classic 04 model, hope that helps?

Anyway of finding out your Fico TU04 score still TU08 is sitting at 705ish... wondering how my TU04 will compare and what they are looking for w/regards to CC and loans to qualify aka UW. Is this technically falling out of the garden I apply for membership but not a CC yet? Is membership a HP if it is will they group it with a CC anyone?

They use ANDREA for thier account opening program, usally, ANDREA soft pulls your Equifax file to verify your identity and open an account for you.

Equifax is on ICE... one thing I just noticed on their CC's they use ELAN aka US Bank.... Hmm now that might throw a twist into it..

ETFCU can no longer support Elan Credit Cards. Click here to view your account or reward information online.

If you choose to close your existing credit card account, be sure to redeem your points before doing so as they are non-transferrable.

Elan no longer issues their credit cards, they are maintaining their own portfolio now, I am actually thinking about signing them up as an indirect lender for my car dealership, I see on Dealertrack they are in the dealer network!

Ah nice...More lenders the better right, especially with good rates which they seems to have decent car rates, but probably can't hang with DCU on auto loans for new cars.. Still good rates and TU vs. EQ on auto Loans? that would be nice as well as all auto loans love to pull EQ!

Nice looking sitte... I want to just open a checking account vs checking and savings, but apparently you gotta open a savings too... no biggie, but obviously I won't have persay money other then the $10 in savings that is required... Errr choices lol.. Based out of Indiana is that correct? US Bank just isn't cutting it for me. Would like other data points!
