Hey Guys,

I applied for a 10k increase in my Amex More Rewards card , 12 am Monday . I'm not familiar with the wait time , when can I expect a response ?

Usually if approved you can see it reflected in your available credit limit within 24-48 hours.

Yeap, your new CL will show within a day or two. If you aren't granted the full 10K increase you'll also get a letter with a reason.

My recent request took just over 24 hours and as others have stated, I noticed it online before they even emailed me to tell me it was approved.

You mentioned asking for $10K and lately, DP's show a max CLI of $8K

So it looks like I applied early. Spoke to CSR today and she said it goes by 6 billing statements and not 6 months/181 days. I was a little confused by that but I am eligible to apply again tomorrow .

Anyone gone through this before?

I always found 6 calendar months to be accurate. Whenever I went by the 181 day schedule, I would be declined and upon asking again a week later, it was always approved.

I asked the next day haha! Was about 3 days early on my last cli, got the secure message about it. Reapplied the next day, got the 8k.

I asked for 10k and they gave me 6 . Would I be able to recon that ?

Probably not. Even if they reconsidered, the max they'll give is $8k. But you can always try and ask via secure message.

You're right . I'll keep the 6k . My other card is eligible on Monday . I'll ask for 8k then
