Barclays Jet Blue plus?

I have heard a lot of negatives about Barclays here.... but like to fly Jet Blue. The Jet Blue plus card has 70,000 miles after only a $1,000 spend in 3 months, (and a $95 annual fee).... is very tyempting. Does anyone have some info on this card & Barclays?

I have heard of them lowering card limits for new credit hits, how are they on approvals if you have new accounts recently opened?

I'll be 4 /24 at the end of the month... with all Fico8's in high 760's -770's ( with 1%, usage, actually under )
I recently opened 2 new revolvers FNBO $15k & Citi Diamond Pref. $6,700, both in August with credit hits....and an Amex Bl Cash Pref back in March CL now at $10k, no credit hit.
Should I give this a shot? .... or would I be better off try to get in and apply for a Chase card once back under 5/24? I opted to go with FNBO & another Citi before Chase in August, which I think worked out well.

Any thoughts / or advice is ( as always ) greatly appreciated.

I love Jet Blue. I love the Jet Blue cards. I hate Barclays.

I used to have the Jet Blue, until Barclays cancelled my cards, for no reason.

What can I say? It's a great card. Maybe you should go ahead and get it, and hope you have better luck with Barclays than I did.

To answer your specific questions:

1. they are inquiry sensitive and new account sensitive

2. i don't know if your chances are better with Chase, but I can say that Chase is a better institution to deal with

@FishingGuy I agree with @SouthJamaica It's a great card for JetBlue, the Plus card but Barclays is a different story. I have it and use it often.

Depending on how much you fly JetBlue, especially if you are a Mosaic member, it's a great card.

Given what you've shared, do not apply until your newly opened accounts have aged considerably (at least ~12 months). If you had opened (1) in the past 9 months, maybe, but 3 in the past year, not so much. If you apply and the application is system-declined, they will not be able to override the decision. Very few slip through the cracks, though -- profile-dependent of course.

So it looks like I had a mini app spree with Barclays between June 23, 2016 - Nov 5, 2017 I opened up five Barclays cards I know one of them was the jetblue plus only for the reason my regional airport at one time had them. Lately they have been giving extra ways to earn bonus points like the most recent 3x grocery store, drug store, and restaurants for the regular jet blue card it's the second time they have done it this year. Also I had to juggle the credit limit each time a new card was received in my case

Thanks Finstar, That's the precise information I was looking for.

My credit is good, but I was wondering if the 2 recent new cards ( and one back in March ) would be an issue with Barclays. I luv Jetblue, figured the card would be a good one, but was concerned about what Barclays would think about the recent new accounts. I think I'll wait.
