BOA just doesn't like me, UPDATE, Recon, they don't like me. :(

Chase, Discover, Barclays, and more recently AMEX likes me..... Citi gave me a Home Depot card although I don't know if they'd give me a regular citi card,don't want or need one, but BOA is a hold out, denied me 4 months ago, and today, denied for AK Airlines card, will recon tomorrow, but not super optimistic......

1/20 Recon denied!!

You can have mine! I find them quite intolerable, therefore, my Americard sees the light of day once a year when I get my air ducts cleaned. Seriously, that is the one purchase I put on the card annually... IMHO, you're not missing much.

I hear more bad then good about them, but I want that AK Airlines card, the companion tickets great and when you live in AK as I do, it costs a fortune plus your first born just to get to Seattle!!!

What were the denial items on the Reasons Letter they sent you?

Just got the 7-10 msg when I applied today, so I am going to recon tomorrow. I am not good at being rejected so I hate doing recon calls although I have never been rejected on a recon call.

Im supprised all the Bofa Hate, they were really nice to me. But my only advice, if they dont want to increase ur CL on ur card apply for a new one and recon the decision no matter what and ask the rep to match what bank X has as a CL for you. Thats what they did for me. They matched 7.5k to what I had total with chase.

LOL, you are missing "much", these guys hand out CLI's like candy. Just got a 100% increase to 10k on one with 38 inqs on my TU and a 703 score.

Also, their recon department is very nice, very pleasing to speak to. Trick is to call the spanish line as they apparantly have more authority.

FIA/BoA have definitely been good to me credit-wise. I thought BoA might have me BL'd due to a CO of a checking account overdraft many years ago but apparently they don't mix banking and credit.

They were my first CC. I got it back in September of last year with $1000 limit. Not much, but my credit wasn't that great. I was at a 672 when they pulled Experian. Maybe they like small files?

They don't like me either. I got denied for their travel rewards and when I called to recon, they said they can only offer one card for now, which was my secured credit card PC to cash reward. So I called again and got PC to travel rewards and asked for CLI. Asked for 5k since chase auto CLI me just last month to 4800 but they countered it to $2700.

Just decided to try for a CLI, even though I have only had the card for a few months. It asked me how much I wanted, I put 2500 since it was only 1000. I should have asked for more, as they approved it....
