BOA Luv Button

I read quite frequently about BOA's luv button appearing when you are eligible for a CLI. I looked online today, and noticed that I have the luv button on my BOA unlimited rewards card....here is what I am questioning, I have only had the card for a week! Does this link now appear all the time, or just when BOA wants to offer a CLI?

This may or may not be at all helpful, but here goes: it's *always* there for me. I can't remember ever not seeing it.

Kindly keep in mind, however, that it's hard to remember everything that's ever happened in 31 years of banking with BofA! My relationship with them pre-dates the Internet.

What I'm guessing is that you'll always see the CLI button from here on out, unless something happens that would make you ineligible, such as defaulting on your account.

No, absolutely not. At least in my case. I had read that here but being as nitpicky as I am, I decided to *ask* BofA myself before hitting it. Only after I had in writing that there was no HP did I push the love button! (And got a nice increase.)

IME I didn't see the button/link for like 6-12 months after being approved for PR card and once it appeared it would come and go after asking for an increase. Sometimes it would disappear for month or so after a CLI approval, other times it would just stay there but I know I wouldn't get anything since I think one has to wait roughly three months between increases

I believe your account is too new to ask for an increase but if the link is there and you don't mind getting a possible denial I don't see the harm in asking. Worst they can say is no and tell you the reasons why

Yea, I know its too young for a CLI. Besides, they gave me a nice starting CL, so I wont bother them for a few months

Mine used to disappear for awhile, I didn't pay attention to the timing recently but it's been back for a month or so I think.

In my prior experience, if you request earlier than 91 days after another request, it'll be denied/ignored. If you then try at 91 days, it'll likely be approved.

Never a HP so far.

Anybody know if there's penalty for asking again too early? For example I asked before 90 days, do I have to wait another 91 days or can i wait just 1 more month to ask again because it was before the inital 90 days? For Example I got my card in Late October, I asked fore CLI in Janurary, when I should have waited til Feb/March. Now can I ask for CLI again or do I have to wait til May 2022?

No real issue for asking too early. Mine's there pretty much perpetually now and I hit it whenever I feel like it's been long enough between asks.

I got it after a couple of months of the CC opening but was declined, apparently not enough utilization with the card. Limit of $3900 but barely ever went above $100 utilization!

I am running everything through mine, hopefully, when I reach my 6 months they will give a nice bump
